Keep bringing it up. Keep pointing it out.
The only way we're going to see if PS.com is true to their word is to wait until next year. Can't do much until then... except keepin' it fresh on everyone's mind and letting them know it pisses us off.
There's about 360 something days for this to fall out of the spotlight. It obviously happened last year... there is NO GUARANTEE it won't happen again.
I've seen people make promises and keep them but... I have also seen people make promises and NOT keep them. I'm not saying they won't take care of their end... they could leave that place spotless.

You know what?
Slobs do suck and we should do everything we can to irradicate them.
You know what else sucks?
People that can't see an oppurtunity when it staring them in the face.
An oppurtunity to raise more funds so that Tim can continue to do what he does.
An oppurtunity to raise awareness of the trash issues.
I seriously doubt that a Planet Sand event or non-event
will have the same results in the future. Maybe I'm being an optimist
But I think the administration at PS is just as disgusted by this as we are
and are taking steps to be part of the solution. IE a trash fund and plans for a clean up.
More discussion on trash on more sites equals more awareness.
Of course we can just continue to bash them and make it us versus them, I'm sure the eco-nazi's would enjoy that , devide and conquer vs unite and become stronger.
And for the record:
Duane ( Bohica) has done a hell of alot for this board and its members with No financial gain to himself.
I personally am glad that this was brought into the light and not swept under the rug.

Well said there tres..

I've read the threads on planetsand, and the majority seem as upset as those on this and other boards. One guy even admitted he left one of the barbeque's, and donated money to tim, yet kept getting beat up for it. Yes, there are some who are "defensive", but if the shoe was on the other foot, it would be just the same here. The trashing sucks, no matter what board you post on, what you ride/drive, or what flag is on your whip. The two communities have more in common than not, as if the trashing continues, no one will have any dunes to play on.
I don't know if anyone else noticed, but I saw something else that went on that is just as bad. Did you see the mention of the fights? That sound familiar to anyone? We are trying to convince the powers that be that Glamis has gone back to a "family atmosphere", and here some punks have to go and do something like this, which sure hurts our efforts to get comp opened back up. I know on planetsand, they aren't too happy with that behavior either.
So how do we stop stupid????

Yes they do. During our July night ride they were there. Hill was fairly trashed the next day but not as bad as this last time.

I think slapy's mcPenis page would get too full JSG.

Great post. Tim thanks. I always take bags from you at the hill.
Just a side note: Last season some folks left a box of dog stuff at there site next along with trash. I had been camped next to them for a few days. So I grabbed the dog stuff and chased them all the way to the ranger station, hoping to return there forgotten iteam and let them know about the trash. Well I was unable to catch them before they got out on the highway.
But I did get there plate, found out where they lived and I sealed it up, (the"dog stuff") real nice and mailed it to them!
Hey Im a giver, what can I say.
FYI
BTW Stoney. GREAT JOB.

we've been through this whole thing on this board and over at Planet Sand.
We know who t was and when it happend...
SOME of the Draggers were part of it...
and if you put on an event then you better be willing to take responsability for leaving the area clean.
The party people probobly did have a big part of making the trash at this event.
Have you read this whole thread... I feel like I am writing the cliff notes for you

This yr, they're saying it wasn't them.
Somebody else snuck in and trashed the place while they were all racing, so they have no idea who did it.
I'm not about to let them burn us again. There won't be a next time. The next race they try to organize, I'm gonna make sure the BLM knows about all of the underage drinking and racing, unregistered quads and littering before they even show up.

It is said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. If you read this thread:
http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index....howtopic=146707, you'll see that even though it took a few years, I think a BIG step occurred last night. I'm sure Mother G sends her many thanks to not only those who grew up, and took care of her after enjoying her special pleasures, but to those in the GD.com community who put the pressure on these folks.
All of us can make a big difference, and lets hope the situation in this thread is never repeated. And with that, we'll close this thread.
Good show last night Drag Racers!!!
