I got even with one a while back using my buggy. Lets just say his truck will never look the same. Tore some paddles up doing it, but it felt so damn good. effer tried to get away also.. its not my style, but that day put me over the edge.. Hope to never have to do it again either.

Nobody should be racing on wash road, my truck has been sprayed a couple of times by quads.

I'm thinking a wrist rocket or paintball gun would be a good defense.

Actually, I think the wash road should be off-limits to OHV's and they should have to stay on the side of the road.

No I beat a ticket for this 2 or 3 years ago. It has to be posted to be illegal. On the other hand you can get a ticket for tresspassing if you ride in the area between the road and the tracks.

Thanks for the answer Oldman....knew it was either you or Frankie (The Oldtimer) who was ticketed and couldn't remember the outcome. Isn't it actually "on the books" that way though, i.e. that it is "illegal" for an OHV to be on Wash Rd?

I could not find that when I fought the ticket. I did find that riding on Ted Kipf Road will get you a ticket.
The LEO's over look the short distance that OHV's use the road to get to Boardmanville from wash 10.

You are right...it's been over a year. Some of our younger friends (40 somethings...!!!) want us to give it one more shot this year back at our favorite east of the tracks spot.

But...we're just about done with it.

All - some people are just stupid and do not understand the ramifications of their actions. They need to be set down and talked to.... Once they understand, most people will apologize and all will be good.

For those who get defensive and what to continue being asses... This would be the time to take action face to face.

No one should ever throw or shoot anything at a moving vehicle.... The result of this type of action could be jail or worse. Just think if you really hurt someone in the passanger seat that had nothing to do with the drivers stupidity and/or indifference.

Here's the scenario.

You're going down wash road in your beautiful moho at a nice 10 mph, driving carefully and not even raising any dust. Some 13 yr old kid on a quad is impatient, finally passes you and roosts the hell out of the front of your moho on purpose, to show his anger over having to follow you for the last 1/2 mi.

He takes off at 40 mph and there's no way you're going to catch him and talk to him or his parents.


What's the right answer in this situation? Just eat $800 in paint damage and a cracked windshield because that's just life?

I agree that bites. I say blast em with a paintball gun- kind of a scarlett letter type thing. Then when you see the red little bastard at the hill kick his a$$ and his parents too!


In reality though, unless you have someone in the passenger seat ready with the blaster, you're not going to be able to stop, grab it, open the door, aim, and hit the little effer.




I have had this happen to me by the way. First time out with the new WW last season, some effer roosts me a couple times. I train horned him until he stopped, because I wasnt sure it was on purpose. When he did stop, he got off his little quad and wanted to fight me. Dumb effer! I just drove away- Im not going to jail for that. But I did want to paintball him though...

You answered your own question bro... If he is gone and you are in a moho there is nothing that can be done except for spitting profanity at the top of your lungs. I'll tell you what though... If I see that 13 year old do that to someone and I am in my buggy or on my bike, I will chase him down and explain the fact's of life to him. Hopefully others will do the same and one day the % of junk in the dunes will diminish.

If we all could do that for one another, that would be great.
