Hey can anyone tell me the horsepower ratings for most if not all the quads out there. my friend is buying a bike and he doesnt understand the CC power yet.so i figured if i can show him horsepower rating to CC he would undestand alittle more. i looked for some but im no sure how accurate they are. mostly the Z400, Raptor, Banshee, Honda, and any others that you mightbe able to find. websites are good to. also any shoot outs between any or all the bikes would be great. i think there were some shoot outs in dirt wheels mag but imnot sure.

thanks

oh yeah i mean all stock bikes. no modifications except tires and small adjustments. no pipes, air filters, or any kits. just stock to stock.

this is what i got from quadsport online far as dyno testin.

honda 400ex....25.98hp

suzuki z400....29.34hp

yamaha raptor....36.04hp

yamaha banshee....38hp (roughly)

i had to read the banshee hp on a graph and thats what i estimated. i was just wondering how accurate these were and what were he hp of the others i couldnt find. im suprised to hear the ds650 had so much. even if thats a guess thats still good if it comes close.

Mine were taken at the crank which is why they are high. I got those numbers from a similiar dyno test. The DS makes all kinds of power but it is pushing around almost a hundred more pounds than the raptor!!!

Different dyno's will show different numbers and even the same dyno will vary with the conditions.
