Kennie
Remember back in the day when things were so different.
You had your little group that you went to Glamis with.
Go back more, when the word Glamis was something you might of heard of.
Back when times were simple. The hill was not that bad to bring your kids to at 10pm.
As times change so do many other things. Costs, ideas, the rigs, people, the idea and so on .............
Back when some of us found this website called Glamisdunes.com it was a simple thing.
It was all out, anything went to hold your own.
Many were offened, many thought it was over the line, many thought it was just plain fun.
Then as time went on it bacame more orginized. For the better. Remember talking to one on chat or posting a topic in a forum and not knowing what that person even looked like who responded. The old days.
To put a face to that board name.
Now that so many have become friends and some enemies, that the Glamis community has become something so strong which grows stronger everyday.
Is it worth the anguish to loose a friend over a difference of opinion? Maybe? The greenies, the opinions, the hard core riders.
But the times have shown many of us that things just don't matter.
Time is short, and life goes by faster than you think till you really sit down and THINK.
Wow its been three, four , five years that some of us have met. Time does fly.
That Fast!
The dunes are a gift from above , now I see....it has brought many new faces to share together this gift.
Don't waist it. Time is short...is it really worth it to be lazy and not enjoy and respect it?

Just a thought

Puts a great perspective on things. I am pretty happy I found this place. I have met so many great people. The last year of my life has been one of the greatest. I dont think I have spent so much time living formyself and having fun. This last year in Glamis has made me stop and try to have fun and not worry so much about all of the little things that go on around you. Makes me wish I could have found this little place sooner!
Permagrin
It means your getting OLD  biggrin.gif

Great little post K. Ya kiddo and I have made some great freinds over the year, lots of good times since hanging out with this crowd. I used to be limited to going to pismo only... never wanted to make the drive out to G (for the past couple of years) Just thought it was too far, and didnt want to tent it back then. I was also into rock crawling and exploring too. I became really good friends with my bro Mike Kammer and he showed me the ways so to speak, reintroduced me to glamis (last time i came was in the early-mid 80's with friends of mine in grade school).

Ive really come to enjoy the time i get to hang with everyone, chat, talk ideas, trash, and just have fun. I met DH and Titus prolly about a little over 10 months ago, and it seems like weve been friends for alot longer than that. Then we met the GD crowd on Tday last year and it was a blast!

What a year it has been. Thanks for reminding us K of what G really means!

Well put Kennie..

I couldn't even begin to tell you how its changed my life.. One things for sure, my pocket book is alot thinner, but my photo album is much thicker..
Knowing you can die at any time has brought me to the realization that I need time in G, with my wife, with my kids, with my friends, and even alone at times.
Like boating in the ocean, once you cross that line (when you can see Gecko or last piece of land) the rest of the world is behind you as you pull in to a time warp for a few days.
Everyone I've met has been great and to think this is only one season.. biggrin.gif I look forward to next season..

OH.. we are going to Glamis this weekend also.. Wife and I are gonna celebrate our 6th year as married and 10 as a couple.. :dis:

Slapptacious piece Kenster, McScrappbook bound. Peoples have come and gone, and it is good to have a place for them to come back to. Ain't no better people in da whole world than the people here at GD.com. Passionate folks that care about Mother G and what she means to all of us. Slaps poppin a tear...

I remember....great piece Kennie. I remember when Jamul was way out in the sticks. Alpine was un-heard of. I remember when someone offered land for sale cheap in those areas. I remember saying no. Why would I want land that far away? Whos the idiot now? Peace
