comphill
What a great time out in Mother G this weekend.
The weather was great not to hot not to cold, had a little wind blow through Friday just enough to clean up dunes. The sand was SOOOO soft and powdery, like ridding on a cloud.
Went for a ride Sunday morning we had just started headed out when I look up and about
30 to 40 feet above me was Mr Red. What a GREAT sight he was just floating over us looking down at me as to say aren’t these dunes beautiful and have a great ride.
I wish I would have had my camera, but I will always have that picture in my mind's eye.

Ain't nothing better than that comphill, and thank you for sharing that in Slap's Hood. Ya know, the best pictures are sometimes the ones that stick in your headbone. For example: Slap was cruisin through the washes and saw hisself some deer walkin along in the early morning dew before the sun came up. AND NO, SLAP WAS NOT EATIN THEM FUNNY MUSHROOMS THAT MRS. MCDUNER FED SLAP. What a trip that was. Can you believe that King Kong actually ran right past Slap straight up China during a full moon? WHEW, that was freaky.

Anyways, sometimes the best sights are the ones you keep yourself. Glad you got to see him comphill. peace.gif

NICE!!!

On my way out to mother G as I was passing through the Grade on the I-8 - there was lots of wind. At one of the drop offs I looked over to see 2 birds floating in the wind. Honestly couldnt tell what type (eagle, falcon, or hawk) but what caught my eye was that one of them was hanging his legs and talon out like he was totally relaxing just floating there. Or showing off to the other bird.. icon_wink.gif

Love the birds of prey, the sounds, the look, and the action. They are AWESOME birds always..

Thanks for the story!!!
