We were fortunate enough to get to meet the awesome Desert Iguana this weekend.. Michael spotted you hanging out in front of my rear tire just waiting for us to visit.... My family and I were so glad to have had the honor of seeing you.. The summer must have been good for you as you looked very healthy... My son John certainly enjoyed getting to chat with you... Of course I know he talked to you about Slappy, and how important it is to take care of Mother Glamis's family. He would have loved to bring you home, but knew that in doing so could make you unhappy, so instead he chatted with you for a while before he decided where to let you go so you would be safe when we were ready to leave.... He definitely wanted to make sure you knew we wouldn't hurt you..... I was very impressed that you were so calm and allowed John to hold you and carry you around.. Nothing better than to see a child's face lit up when they manage to hold one of nature’s wonders... John (aka Da Leprechaun) wanted to share his newest friend of the weekend with the few that were left in camp Sunday afternoon....

Luckily he went and showed ifly who snapped some pictures of John and his buddy.... John wanted to send out a special thank you for taking the pictures especially when we found we didn't have any on the camera we had...

Hot damn, this has been the most slapptacious day Slap has evern had. First we got to see Mr. Gecko, and now Mr. Desert Iguana. This is downright slappified. Thanks Scat for bringing Mr. Iguana into Slap's Hood, he is always welcomed. And you have no idea how much it pleases Slap to know that the SlapArmy is taking care of Mother G's critters. He sure looks like a healthy one John, and Slap thanks you for looking out for him. They are strong, and will defend themselves against Mr. Sidewinder; yet they enjoy being held, but not aggressively. Great job John, Slap thanks you for looking out for our friend. The Desert Iguana is very friendly to the SlapArmy, and he is a Slappy Favorite. What a good day, a good day it has been.

I sure wish I had double checked to see if we'd had pictures of him waiting by my tire.... Certainly a reminder to check around the vehicle before moving them.. You just never know who is going to be hanging around...

Thank you Slappy, I can't wait to show John tomorrow.. I know he will be so excited....

Getting warm= Less visitors.

The warmer it gets, the more active you become Mr. Iguana. Slap is soooo looking forward to seeing you. You watch out for Mr. Sidewinder, cuz he's on the prowl. But Slap knows you can fend him off. You is a Slappy Favorite no doubt. See you soon.
