I have a 91 banshee with a 200w ricky stator and stock lights. I want to upgrade the lights now, what's the Best setup for about $150 to $250. I was looking at the trail tech stock location lights but they're only 35 watts.

Trail Tech is about as good as you can get for cheap...and 35w is a lot better than the 'shee 15w stockers. I think Lazer Star might be offering a cheaper setup now too...
what hurts?

buy a bar mount kit, it is way better than the stock location.

on rockymountain they sell 75w trailtech's but not with the stock mount. Wouldn't a higher watt bulb be brighter. I can run alot more than 35's with my 200w stator right?.

When I get my stator done I'm planning on a couple 35w floods in the stock location pointed pretty much at the ground, with another flood/pencil beam combo aimed regular on the bars...thinking it might help me have a general idea what's coming up when in a wheelie or transitioning into a bowl...

I ran Ricky Stators "duner" light kit and it worked well for me, it's in your price range...

50 watt trail techs should be same price as 35s. noit sure if the wiring is different. Otherwise, its just a different bulb. Lowe's or Home Depot sell them
OR 4 35 watts. stock location and bar mount

I would use that money for a better stator, then just buy higher wattage bulbs for your current lights.
Another idea, get a set of 2004 and up stock lights, with the clear plastic will help as well.

I would leave the stocks and get a bar mount with two trail techs or lazar stars. Just having tha lights on your bars make a bigs differance. They move with the bars it works great. Just don't go over 160 watts or they will be very dim until you get the rpms up.

i run 4 lights on my shee. i have the stock 2 35watts and 2 50watt bar mounts. i run all of them on a 200watt stator. the output is fine. i still have enough to run a lighted whip and my rad lite taillights. i do have Ricky's lighter flywheel that does help. i dont have to be on the RPMs to have them bright. yeah at idle they are dim but in 1st gear puttin they are bright enough.
