What is up with the k&n air filter for the raptor? It just doesn't seem to fit right in the stock air box. Is it just me or is there a trick to it. My luck it is just something simple right in front of my face, usually seems to work that way.

Its difficult to put the lid on for sure. Make sure you grease the area good that will help stick to the air-box. It's a slide forward move with the lid to get it to set in place. Check the groove on the lid that sets on the filter. Be patient with it. It takes a few times to get it down. Get in close and watch with your eyes, its not a blind move. Peace

do you have the pro flow flange onit? i know that when i did my banshee and i wanted to keep my lid on i had to grind one piece of the air lid to make it fit. that might be a thought. i dont know though i havent dealt with raptors yet. my friend has one so im gonna be sure to watch out for any new problems.

make sure that you know which way is up and which is down, once u push it in to the bottom part of the air box it should go in rather easy!

Well it seems like its in place but just hard to tell once the lid is closed how well the fit is. It wasn't the easiest thing to get in either. Kinda scarry to think i might be sucking dirt in the motor. I am thinking about just going with the pro flange and then there would be no guessing to it. But that is going to cost an extra 80 bucks or so . Well i guess you cant take it with you when you go, right

Yes, the K&N for Stock Air Box Sucks
To Me the Pro Design Setup is Pretty Good Setup.

when you use that pro flow flange device.do you skip the airbox all together and use an outerwear like a buggy?

It is attached to the air box (inside) then the Filter attaches to the Pro Design piece. **It comes with a template for drilling 4 holes in the air box to attach it**[/quote]
