Have you seen the new '04 YZ450F? this baby looks sweet and they say it smokes the Raptor. For an up-close look, see me in Glamis over Halloween. Peace
Sandpusher
I saw the Yamaha at the local dealer and it looks sweet. I have my eyes on the new Honda CRF450. If I have it by then, we'll see which one is a better machine for your bucks!!

Although I am not a Yamaha fan, I have to admit it though, the new YZF is awesome!!

I love Hondas and even better my life connection with parts.

See ya at Glamis.

Click or copy this link:

Once in that page, click on the Performance and Innovation section on the left hand side of the page. All specs are there.

Did I miss something here? I didn't see the new hondas? How much are they going for? Seems like the honda crowd has been waiting forever, so its here, this isn't some "pipe" dream, like the ones they have every year?
DannyG
Whoa!! What dealer has them in stock already?
Yamiboy
i know a dealer that is suppose to be gettin 6 in by the end of the month. something like 4 blue and 2 red and white. looks like honda is gettin their red and white colors stolen from them since they arent using them very much these days. i still think honda needs to wake up and smell the exhaust fumes.

Hondas won't be out until September or October. But they are releasing their quad version of the CRF450.

They have been behind, but they are making a come back.

Specs? I don't know yet.
stonehenge
Not that I don't beleive you, but can you confirm this info, they have pulled this stuff more times than I can count. And if its the real deal I now more than one person who WILL hold off on buying the new Yami, and I'm one of those folks, I'll go get my deposit back today!
DSRide
Not only is it a CRF 450 Honda will have an aluminum frame!
Sandpusher
Dude, Believe me! I almost bought a cannondale because Honda nor Yamaha were showing any signs of life.

I spoke to my budd at Honda and asked me not to buy either for they are coming up with this quad.

Hondas have been good to me, and I love them. Most important, my budd works in the parts deparment so I save a lot on part too.

I trust that person, and I will take a chance and wait.
Besides, if worst comes to worst and Honda does not have a quad by then, the chances of getting a Yamaha for a better price around that time are much better.

Ride Honda!! Most reliable and EFFICIENT bikes.

if your talkin about the new yamaha i think its gonna retail at about the same as the raptor if not a few bucks more. i havent heard anything about a new honda and im happy with my toy im just impressed with what yamaha came out with. its the first affordable semi-trick quad that i know of. and i say "AFFORDABLE".
stonehenge
Same stuff, wait for something that might never happen? Well it might snow in hell. Honda has let its quad sport folks down time and time again. Any real news about a Honda? Like a picture or secret squirrel story? Maybe a inside scoop? Last year was a joke all this hype and BAM another 4x4, what a joke. And speaking of jokes, are they still producing that air cooled barely 400 girls quad and calling it a sport? What sport is that?

I was at C.T. racing yesterday talking with allen and next week he's going to be riding the new Yami. He plans on retiring off it he says.

I ask him about the new honda and he is going to be riding one of them soon as well.

Looks like he has an in with the manufacturers for aftermarket stuff.

Seems all it's gonna need is some re-tuning. Swap for YZ cams, and open that baby up! :burn:

Thats kinda the info I was hoping for, but when is this magical Honda coming out 2009?
5150HARVEE
Whenever they get more of these 400EX's sold. :bandit:
