I have a non-CA approved ATV. I ride Baja dunes. Since my ATV purchase i've come across the Glamis buzz on the net, now i'm very interested in gettin dirty there. Here's my Q. can it B done w/out getting caught, do they check for Green/ red stickers? do i really need one? Is there any way around this, without getting a CA carb approved ATV?
PS Any SanGabriel Valley Glamis people out there?

you can get a non-resident green sticker, that is what I have to do coming from Nevada...$20, good from 1 Jan to 31 Dec each year

This topic belongs somewhere more relevant.

If you talking red sticker, that only restricts CA riding during the summer months. Don't worry about it.

If your talking registration, do what the out of state people reccomend

I have been going to 6 years + and never bought a green sticker and no problems.

I'm not sure where you're from. If you're from CA, you will need either a Red or Green sticker to ride at the ISDRA.

If you're from another state, your state may have a reciprocal agreement to honor each others OHV registration and you MAY not need a red or green sticker from CA. Check with your state's motor vehicle dept.

The BLM and Imperial County Sheriff's Office honor the AZ OHV registration at the ISDRA and you will NOT need either CA sticker. However, you must have the AZ issued OHV plate attached to the OHV and have copies of the registration on the OHV. A lot of people tape the paperwork on the underside of the seat.
