hey i was just wondering if there are any other places to ride over the summer? i was just curious cuz my friend bought a bike at the end of the season and i cant get him off of it. i tried tellin him that its gonna get to hot and dangerous out in the dunes and he understands but he still wants to ride. i was just curious if anyone knows places around San Diego county area to ride. i have ridden at lake morena but it hasnt been for years. is that place still open and are there any other legal places to ride? ive been off the 905 but mexico and its ok for a few times but i think he wants to go more. please lets me know any info you have.

It's not called Lake Morena. It's Corral Canyon. It is still OK to ride. Only problem-It sucks. If Your on a quad at least. A friend of mine loves it up there on his bike. But I have ridden a couple times with my Banshee. Crap! Nowhere to open it up. Lots of rocks, blind corners, ruts and mountain bikers. Far too. Might as well drive out to the dunes for a morning run.
Ocotillo is the only other "legal" place in SD. There is a place in Rancho San Diego which isn't horrible for quads. It's close and I have never had a problem. Fun for trucks too.

oh yeah thanks i forgot it was carol corral canyon. i rememberd it was by morena. well if its leagal there ill have to check it out. i ride a banshee and i dont mind not having to open it up and haul butt. i might take my old three wheeler instead. he rides a thumper so it is all good for him he just wants to ride. so ill check that place out with him to see if he likes it. also he has kids and wants them to get use to learnin and the desert is too much for them right now. but hey thanks for the info
