big had
I rode one the other day at a dealer. It was SICK fast. Sure, I was like, ah, salesguy, automatics are for fag'es....thats when he said, "Yeah? Ride it and tell me its Laguna Beach..." I was almost ripped off my seat when I hit it....holy cow....
anybody got one or know anything about these quads...
big had
well, I bought one....took it to pismo and it was anything but a sled. It cranked up the dunes. Is heavy on the jumping side of things, but, nice cushy landings. It was the most comfortable bike I have ridden since an LT500 quad. I dragged my buddy on a Zuki 400, and he took me off the line. We ran out of strip, but, i did stay pretty neck to neck on him. I would have to say if your a big dude, this is a great bike. I am 6'5" and 250#....the bike is perfect for any "Big Had".....

Don't you have to power brake to start off the line?

You don't have to power brake, unless you want to for a better launch. As far as the tie-rods, I have read a few people bending them hitting tree's and such, but supposedly it is made that way to save other components. I love my kfx700 , I have not had it up to the dunes yet, but from other folks I talked to, with the right paddles, they are wondeful duners..!

wheat germ? Well, I gotta tell ya, it is fast to me. I think it is a great bike so far. I feel very confident that it will scoot plenty good through the dunes, in stock form. At my ripe old age of 33, this bike should suit me well. I ain't into showing off, or spending my cash-ola trying to be the king of the hill. Kids, mortgage, bills, etc. keep me pretty level headed these days. Gotta work, can't afford to get hurt.
I guess only time will tell if I bought a Yugo or a Chevy, if you know what I mean.

Well, to seal the 250r's coffin, they better sell millions of quads, it will be a long time before that coffin is sealed! laugh.gif

Interesting, I raced my friend with my stock banshee and beat his KFX 700. He had me off the line, but then once I hit 4th gear I started pulling on him all the way to 6th and beat him by about 2 lengths of his quad.

PS- We were at Ocotillo Wells
memo
i dont think they are too bad they are kind of heavy but they have allot of power and potential, i was at pismo 4th of july and i seen one that was stock with only a pipe and paddles beating alot of raptors and banshees not all of them but most of them i also seen it beat stock new yamaha 450 and loose against a piped 450 but not by more than 1 bike
