I never knew how good a quad in the garage smelled. Don't laugh at me yet!!! I have been without a quad for 4 years now, and I just picked up another 250R and it smells good. I walk out in the garage and I can smell the difference. Is it the plastic, the rubber, the premix, I don't know, but it just flat out smells good. Now, everyone go out and smell your quad....
mmmmmmmmmmmmmgooood...told you so!

im sure its bad for you but i love that smell to. its the mix between the gas, old dirt on the bike, and the smell of happiness. it sucks cuz we have a glass door in my house and you can see the toyz everytime you walk by it. its like teasing you saying "come on lets go ride. its not that hot"

I have to stay out of the garage. I'd be too tempted to take the bikes down the street and wear out the paddles. :dis:

see thats why i put my knobbies on before the end of the season. i can run up and down when i want to then hide in the garage when the police roll by.

I live down the street from the beach. Nothing like a few donuts and wheelie's at night.

I found an 86 250R with a 89 engine in it. Check this out; brand new plastic all around with Nacs graphics, new seat and Nacs cover, Holeshots, works shocks, Durablue axle, Paul Turner pipe, new PRM bumper and grab bar, freshly powdercoated A arms, motor mounts, and steering stem. The frame has fresh paint but I don't believe it is powder coated. new clutch & brake levers, JP swing arm that is supposedly 1 inch shorter than the stock 89 is. Thats cool because I like short swing arms. Does anyone know what happened to JP anyway, someone buy them out? It has a 36mm carb which is bored to a 38 which I feel is a bit much for a stock engine. I think I will put the 34 from my old 88 on it and get a little better bottom end from it. I do need to get some lights so I can do some night rides at "G" but that will be a while. I think I will start yanking the engine apart next week just to see what condition it's in. It runs good so I don't expect any surprises there. I picked it up for $4K, not too shabby. Looks like I will be taking a trip across country in October to show this mother some sand instead of red mud and trees.
Raise your beers to the sweet smell of quads brothers and sisters.

Yamiboy - too bad you don't live in AZ. I have my Raptor registered as a motorcycle and can ride it all day long on the street. :bounce:

i can appreciate your thrills with the smell.i go out to my toyhauler and sit in it and dream that its below 100 degrees in the desert.then if that isnt enough i have my knobbies on and ride my quad around the block a few times to get a little satisfaction.
the guy that has his raptor registered as a motorcycle-do you have turn signals and plates?
