i went to the local play around spot and as i was riding i felt my throttle come loose. i knew it had snapped i just dont know where. its on a 2002 banshee. stock carbs, stock throttle, stock everything. how much does a new cable run price wise? how much would it cost to put a twist throttle on the bike. i bought one for a suzuki for like $30 but it was an older bike. would i have to change anything on the top of the carbs and give me some pros and cons of a twist throttle.

thanks for any info

a new twist from toomey is about 75 bucks. it comes with a idle kit so you can remove the thors system from the bike the jobs takes about 2 hours and is very easy instructions are in the kit.

is that the pro motion throttle? i priced the kit from motorworld of EC and they want 50 for the twist kit alone. they are sellin them seperate. where is toomey located? anywhere in southern cali?

sure id love to... hey i got a quick question. is there any way it can be discontected or something? meaning i havent had time to pull it apart and look at what exactly snapped. i know it was my cable tho. i pulled apart the top piece by the thumb part and the cable was loose. i just havent had time to look. ill probably do it tonight. but yeah what do you want for it?
Yamiboy
ok its official.... i did snap my throttle cable. i had a chance to pull it apart last night and sure enough it was snapped. looked like it was ready to go at anytime and i was lucky i wasnt in the middle of the desert by myself or something. anyone fix a stock cable off a banshee before? just curious to see if there is anything ineed to watch out for so i dont f@#k it up even more.

thanks
richard
