I am tagging along with a group that is going out on the 26th and just found out that they are going out to wash 23

. I have to rent a trailer and luv2camp only tows to wash 15! GREAT!!! The whole reason I was really set on this trip was to get hooked up with this group and now I cannot even do that! I was pretty pumped to be going with this group and take my family but hearing that news took the wind out of my sails.
Anyone know of another viable option? Maybe a someone who rents either haulers or travel trailers (either is fine as I can put my bike in the back of my truck.
I am in Murrieta so anywhere either close by or in N. County would work.
Just venting!

Have one of your buddies come down and haul it in the rest of the way. Then bring it back to 15 at the end of the weekend.

they probably only take it that far because it's only graded to 15

...and I'm betting that they would want it left were they dropped it

Tell'm to camp in 15

You could always hook up with the GD crew either at 13.5 or the Compound (right behind the store).

I checked and they will only tow to 15 and they will not to for extra $$ and they will not allow it to be towed. I am the tag along and they want to camp at 23... there are a bunch of kiddos in the group and they had already decided on going to 23 before I came along.
The reason I want to go with them is because I actually know them so I wanted to camp with them. I am new to doing this (first time on over night dune trip with my 3 little ones, camped at campgrounds in the mountains with 2 but first time with 3). I wanted to eliminate some of the awkwardness for my wife as she does not have anything to ride and with the little ones sees herself chasing my 1 year old while I am out riding... which she will be to an extent so I see her point.
Next year will be different because the boy will be 2 and listen a little more (at least he won't eat as MUCH sand). But for now it will be interesting.
I am going out on the 20th with my buddy and are going to go camp near the pound so I hope we meet some peeps then! I would like to have some more people to dune with for those two days (I know of one member coming down from CANADA!!! eh so that will be cool to meet him). Anyone else going to be there midweek?
Hozay we will have to hook up sometime!!!

Camp at the Compound or 13.5 like has been mentioned, there are plenty of people who will be in camp at any given time, so your wife won't be lonely.

CampNstyle is sold out for those dates. I am going to go near the pound for my solo trip, but with the family I wanted to be by people we knew. I hear ya but first I just want my wife to be comfortable with the situation... she is not a duner (yet) but I am working on it and want her to have a good first time with people she is familiar with.

Actually I don't know about JBennett... I am going with a large group and I only know 2 of them. They are not out yet but are going out on the 24th I believe.

Well, we were all newbies at some point. We will be in the Pound with 3 kids, ages 6, 9 and 13. There are quite a few that stay at camp while people go on rides. How are you going to get to know someone until you meet them?
Heck when Hozay started camping with us his youngest was an INFANT! We have alot of little moofers running around camp.
Just a thought,..

There is a company on the corner of Los Alamos & Jefferson in Murrieta that rents toyhaulers, can't remember their name. Also, just south of Los Alamos on Jefferson there is a car dealer that I have seen a couple motorhomes there with El Monte RV signs on with "Rent Me".

So I checked out one place and they are out of haulers for the days I need. I am checking another place and going to try the RV thing and have a buddy haul my quads.
If anyone knows of a hauler rental place from say Escondido to Elsinore please let me know!!! I would rather go that route!
Thanks!

I actually looked down a different avenue... private rentals. Found a few people local who rent out their RV. I am going to try and get a buddy to take my quads out and me drive an rv.
But I will keep them in mind!!

Found one! Renting a 22ft hauler.
Now to get a brake controller. Glad I have a prewired truck!
