thank god i found a site with some atc peeps. I've been looking around the fiddy world for a week or so with no luck.
i just bought a 78 atc 90, i thought i got a good price but i didn't. live and learn. i'm currently in the market to put a 125cc motor in it, a nice loud exhaust, and just restore it. a nice beater, nothing fancy, just fast and reliable............
i'm a bit confused because i came across a message board that said the new clone motors for the crf50's and pitsters don't fit the atc frames. that was the reason i jumped at the oppurtunity of owning a atc. something old i can update and have endless aftermarket parts available. i've been messing around with fiddies for a while now and i've found i can't keep up with the friends with 4 wheels. especialy in the snow. i live where there is snow and ice, and i want to be able to do more than fall ever 2 secs.
my questions. atc 70's can fit atc90 motors with no mods to the frame mount points right??? and atc 70 can mount honda clone motors right??? therefore my 90 can take regular clone motors without a problem right???
also, can i find a place to fix my gas tank, its a bit old and rusty, not leaking, but it needs some repair to make it like new. i see plastic tanks for 100bones. i'm thinking of taking that path if repairing my oem tank is gonna cost a lot. but i'm more worried about mounting a motor in first, the other stuff is nothing in my book. my friends brother is a motorcycle customizer so once i see him, i'm gonna talk to a pro.
