It's the Ocotillo Pernicious Sippinfrat Daisy. Found only in the spring and summer months it is a mysterious delicate flower (weed, actually) that has confounded scientists over the years with its ability to appear and disappear from season to season. :rant:

However, the Ocotillo Pernicious Sippinfrat Daisy is losing it's ecological foot hold because of people, like yourself, that refuse to accept this special flower's (weed, actually) tentative hold in our Algondones Dunes ecology. Yet, all is not lost. With the great leadership of the Slaptimonious one we may draw attention to this quickly dying fauna. And, if it gets me a t-shirt and beer holder, I'll get you a picture of the Daisy.... :rant:
