2 wheels and hubs. Mounted with tires. Tires don't come with the wheels. Find a good place to de-mount the tires and they're yours..free..

^^^if you seperate the whells from the hubs, the rims split and you can pull the tires off easily

Do your rims have 3 bolts or 6 when attached to the hubs?
The original rims are 2 piece and are attached together with 3 small 10mm bolts, then bolted to the hub.

There is also the bead on stock tires that can be a _itch if it's been there awhile. Had to back my van over the old tire to break the bead.

Feb 1 2007, 04:45 PM
Nope, they're the original 3 lug bolts. With, the hubs on them at this moment. I will try to detach them for whoever wants em. I need the tires on them badly. Them suckers are RARE. But yeah, if anyone needs wheels/hubs. Hit it up.

OK, I'm stuck...I have all of the bolts and whatnot...and the rims are free.I can shift it around and literally see the inside of the wheel. Now, what do I do? I can't take two rim piece sides off. It is like they are stuck to the tires..?

Feb 1 2007, 06:28 PM
Bolt the rims back together
Spray WD-40 around the bead & let it soak a little
Lay tire on it's side
Take a 2x4 & butt it against the rim, then pound it with a rubber mallet or large hammer
Work around the edge of the wheel, this should break the bead
Then use a large pry bar or something similar, place the tip under the edge of the rim & work the tire down, work around the rim
Once it gets down an inch or so, you can usually push the tire down
I had a set that was a pain in the ass & took an hour or so to get all the way off.
After that, I swore I'd buy a $60 bead breaker/tire changer before I do that again!
Good Luck!!

Welp. So much for all that. I keep hearing bad sounds from the tire? Like it is cracking right next to the wheel. So I will stop..give up for now. Maybe I can get a professional to get those suckers off. I am obviously not skilled enough.
Bugsy
Feb 3 2007, 08:04 PM
you can do it... you are not breaking anything... if you do take it somewhere, take it to a tractor shop, they will have a small enough machine or tool to break them free easily

this little sucker works good too.. I used to use this on tractor tires all the time

IF you have any "extra" parts, bring them to the regatta for a "swap meet"

I have a pull starter for sale. This is a spare that I used on my ’85 for a while, works well. $45 shipped for it.
I don’t post much here, check ebay for my feedback (i.d. thefoxman45) or 3wheeler.org or 3wheelerworld.com for feedback (same user: thefox).

Updating everything.
I need to sell off my 70's so i can get into a new house.
-Rare A+ full suspension frame, has a motor in it right now a new 90cc electric start / kick start. Still needs some minor things to be finished.
I have a offer of $1200 for frame-swing arm & front forks.
-83 with a 125 zogchen motor 4spd clutch with pull start conversion, very fast, exhaust, pit bike bars, recovered seat, new rear plastics, polished douglas wheels with holeshot tires, looks cool. $1100 obo.
-81 basket case bike, motor was good but i took off the pull starter for other project, needs seat-plastics-bars-tires. $250
-custom contraption! built out of a 85 70, a pit bike and a 200cc atc, has a good running 88cc pull start converted motor, disk brakes front and rear, needs some cosmetic tlc. $750
you can pick what parts you want to put together one nice bike that you would want: motor-plastics-wheels....ect.
we would just have to agree on a price! For example, i could put the 125cc motor into the A+ frame, with polished wheels and spacers-big bars-newer plastics and seat and then we work out a price for that.

I've got a complete '79 ATC70 motor sitting in my garage taking up space. It just needs a pullstarter and carb to be complete. Engine slightly smoked before i took it out. Didn't really get to run the motor much though. My carb was shot so I never did get it to run right before i bought a new motor. All offers will be considered.

I just got into this 70 thing and am hooked! It is almost as fun as my rhino.
OK i jumped into this thing head first and now have 2 full suspension 70's and a non suspension 70 (and another full one in peices)
all of them had motors when i got them, so i am replacing most of them with aftermarket ones.
I hope i am posting this in the right place!?????
Here is what i have for right now.
-Stock 70cc 1983 i think motor, no carb and no side case with the pull start (used that for a swap), good compression but was not getting spark. $100
-Real honda xr50 motor, converted to pull start, 88cc big bore kit, cam, runs great, comes with carb, it is in one of the bikes right now and runs great but i am going to a lifan 140cc. Ready to put in. $350
-Brand new 90cc HUAWEI electric start motor, has never been started!, comes with carb and electrical, i am replacing that with a 125cc lifan motor also, but it came with the tri so that is why i have it. $200
-90cc ct honda motor out of a trail bike, has clutch so you can use that to convert your motor to a clutch, this is just a parts motor, no carb. $50
I might be selling my atc70 that is in peices but a friend of min has dibs, i will know for sure next week.
Not sure what i will be asking on it.
Will do trades also for lifan or similar motors, 125cc or larger.
I live in Sacramento Ca, area. Dont min shipping but you pay for it.
