Lies are all we ever seem to get from the anti access types.

quoted from the linked article:
The public includes loggers, recreationists, ranchers, miners and even firefighters.
The problem is that, except for firefighters, all of the above members of the public are taking the riches of the land at an unsustainable rate.

What happens when all the natural landscape is barren of utility?
Permagrin
so now you want to outlaw ranching as well?

Like I said, all we get are lies and rhetoric from the anti access types.

public land ranching is done on grazing allotments for which the rancher pays the gov't a small fee. These allotments are being bought up by the green groups and being restored as habitat for native wildlife.

In the Mojave Desert there are 8 cattle ranches that don't even make enough money to hire any hands. these are "life style" ranches that are fun for the owners to pretend they are ranching. The BLM curtailed their use of tortoise habitat on public lands for critical months of the year. There was a big confontation between BLM and San Bernardino County Sheriff over who would administer the grazing closures. BLM actually confiscated some cows before the ranchers complied with the new regs.

to answer your question Bluesky, when the land becomes barren it will be like, uh, uhm, Glamis....then some boneheaded Enviro troll will complain about being there too........

Don't feed the troll. It will only result in frustration.

There are two sides to the global warming controversy.

One group says there is no global warming, cause if there was they'd have to give up their polluting ways.

One group says there is global warming and tries to restrict use of polluting behaviors.

Which one has more reason to lie?

enviros are not socialists bent on destroying the US economy. We get no fun out of keeping people from enjoying themselves. There is a real reason why enviros maintain their activism--because we are concerned that our use of the planet is not sustainable--that if we're not careful, for-profit corporations will lay waste to our planet and not leave it fit for human habitation.

OHV riders and other groups which depend on heavy impacts to nature for their fun and profit are more likely to deny the reality of global warming because if it's true, then these people are shortening the lives of all who live on earth.

Who's doing the lying :?:

http://www.intwg.com/trolls.htm

An Internet "troll" is a person who delights in sowing discord on the Internet. He (and it is usually he) tries to start arguments and upset people.

Trolls see Internet communications services as convenient venues for their bizarre game. For some reason, they don't "get" that they are hurting real people. To them, other Internet users are not quite human but are a kind of digital abstraction. As a result, they feel no sorrow whatsoever for the pain they inflict. Indeed, the greater the suffering they cause, the greater their 'achievement' (as they see it). At the moment, the relative anonymity of the net allows trolls to flourish.

Trolls are utterly impervious to criticism (constructive or otherwise). You cannot negotiate with them; you cannot cause them to feel shame or compassion; you cannot reason with them. They cannot be made to feel remorse. For some reason, trolls do not feel they are bound by the rules of courtesy or social responsibility.

Perhaps this sounds inconceivable. You may think, "Surely there is something I can write that will change them." But a true troll can not be changed by mere words.

The best response is no response. Please don't feed the troll.
