One pipe is blowing a bit more smoke than the other. Plugs, jets, what?

Yeah them Banshee's will do that, that's why I got a Honda 250R the best damn quad ever made.

If a 250r had 2 pipes, there would be a difference two. Banshee 2 X the pipes, 2 X the power....sometimes 2 X the problems!!!
Now that is out of the way, check for exhaust leaks on the cylinder that smokes less. I had one pipe that leaked at the junction as well as a little bit at the cylinder. Caused me some confusion for a while. They were both leaking just alittle bit, new springs and different seals at the junctions, and problem solved. I think the ones I used were made by pro-designs.

it might sound funny but maybe check to see if the gas is on.... meaning if you just started it in your garage and saw that, the carbs might be running out of gas. my dumbass bro did that... he thought he had all kinds of problems cuz one was smoking and the other wasnt but turns out the gas was off.... check that other than that i dont know.... havent had any problem with mine yet.

I have the same problem with my banshee, but it runs hard I cant tell the difference. HIV is probably right, I have a nice little exhaust leak at the cylinder. You should be able to see where it leaks, there will be oil all over the place. I had it all over my left boot every time I would ride. I just put new springs on the exhaust (broke one of the hangers on the pipe, >:<) I also put gasket sealer all around it also.

also check the little rubber tube that connects between the 2 carbs, its is just a straight little rubber hose, if not that check all your cableS to make sure both carbs are opening up, i have 2 banshee's and had both these problems, it wasn't that it was a banshee, it was that i didnt pay attention to when i put it back together.
BANSHEES RULE

I would imagine your smoke would be white.
I still can't get both of my carbs open all the way. Only one opens all the way, the other one is off just a bit. How do you get them perfect?

no matter how hard you try you will never get 2 differant carbs to sync up on a banshee , if your using 2 air cleaners the chances are even more remote . You can get close enough not to worry so
unless 1 is smoking like a chimney and the other one is just putting out a little puff your not in any serious danger .clean your carbs change your plugs clean the air cleaner and check again

Thanks for all the input guys. I think some of the smoke came from not having started it up in a while. I ran it this weekend. It was going strong. Only smoke was from me smoking Tres' Predator!

I asked a mechanic about that before and he said that on the banshee one of the cylinders is considered a primary, so one seems to always smoke a little bit more than the other. He also told me this is normal and to not worry about it, unless one is smoking up a storm while the other isn't...
