I haven't done it personally, but I was poking around alba's website the other day, and they have a lot of different lighting options. You might want to look at their stuff.

Get the Big Stator and then run your lights at about 2/3's of rated output. I'm running 2-50's and 2-35's. I will give you a sunburn if you get in front of me.

I've been running four 50 watt lazer stars. Two on there handle bar mount and two in the stock location. Like'em. Had a few bulbs go, ???? And one of the handle bar mounted light braket go, but they replaced it without any questions. They had a few issues with the early ones being thin and side mounted, but they are all great now and have been for some time. I'm running a stock stator and have been for 3 seasons, no problems and plenty of light. Gonna go HID real soon, but those 50 watt lazers do fine. Don't buy those lazer knock-offs, they suck.

hey stoney!!! what bike you runnin? is it a banshee as well? cuz im curious if the stock ones w/ 2 50 watt lights on top would do fine. cuz if i can get the lights first and still safely run them and then upgrade the stator when i have more money then that would be perfect. let me know

Banshee will only run 35's stock. Get the 35's and you can just change the bulb to 50-75-100 when you upgrade the Stator.

Hey Rich, I ran a white bros 250 watt stator in my banshee. 150w to the stock system and an extra 100w output. I ran that output thru a regulator and sand sealed switch to a lazerstar 100x handlebar mounted light. That single light kicked the shiat out of my 2 6" piaa's in factory locations with 55w bulbs. Alot of times, I wouldn't even turn them on.
I paid about $175 for the stator from southbay motorsports with that special "bro" hookup from one of their parts guys

I have both a shee and a craptor. The lights I was referring to are on my craptor. But on my shee I have an upgraded stator and run four 35'ers. Two low and two on the bars. Works good.

Make that, "The Banshee can only handle 2 35 watt lights in stock form."

I couldn't find prices or any other info about those lights on "trail tech" 100 sounds really cheap for "true" hid's? Besides how can they fit a "true" hid bulb/filiment in that housing? Does anyone here have those? And does anyone know the warr. on there bulbs and hardware?
Kevin

there are tons of different hid lights out there. i have a divers light that is hid. there are some places that have small bulbs such as the ones in lazer stars that are hid, but i havent been able to locate any info regarding ballasts.
i called trail tech and asked them for the price of those hids, they said $99.99, but the person on the phone couldnt answer any of my technical questions i had, such as does it have a external ballast? what wattage arte they comparable to? what size are they(mr-16 or??) , apparently their technical person had skipped out to go riding for the rest of the week.

According to Ricky Stator you shouldnt run anymore than 2-35watters along with the 2 stock 35watters to be on the safe side, but anyways I bought the frame mounted light kit from Trailtech for my quad as they dont have a handlebar mounted light kit for the Predator yet. Still havnt recieved them but Im dying to get em on! 119 for two lights and the mounts.

Well, well, catch me in South Dakota working by butt off trying to sell lights to Bikers...
First off, (trying very hard to be PC), that Trail tech is a direct knock off of my stuff. No 2 ways about it. They contacted me to use Lazer's with their computers and never went beyond the first call. There is a lot more, but I'll leave it at that.
I have heard of their HID and now that I've seen them it's very obvious that they are using a similar or the exact lamp that Night Rider uses on their Helmet set up. They won't be more than 15 watts. Trinity just put a set of my 50w HID's on a Raptor, I'm anxious to see how they do.
To address the breakage issue with Raptors... It's fact that the Raptor vibrates more than any sport ATV currently offered. This along with a fairly large batch of bad aluminum, caused the middle "mounting ring" to fracture on some lights installed on some Raptors. We have done a 2 fold change to correct this condition and it applies to all ATV kits we sell. 1) We reengineered the mounting ring to be thicker in the corners to support the additional stress caused by this bike. This unit is now available if you have a ring failure and will be replaced at no charge, per our lifetime warranty. 2) New lights for ATV kits have been totally redesigned and the mounting ring has been eliminated (except the HID). The new lights are our "Shorty" design and tuck much closer to the bracket and use a much more sturdy mounting system. These units are available now.
As for the lamps, the lamps we use are far and away the best quality available. Believe me we searched long and hard for them. They are also filiment based lamps and any filiment based lamp is suseptable to vibration. Until we get LED headlamps (I give it 5 years max), vibration will be an issue, even with HID's. The HID's are better when it comes to vibration resistance, but are still not perfect.
Stock Banshee will take 2 - 35w lights but our kits use a 35w spot and a 20w wide spot. Over the years and during testing we found this to be the best combo for Banshee owners. This set up allows the lamps to get to their maximum brightness at a much lower RPM, giving you more useable light.
Hope this helps. For those of you who are customers of mine, thanks, my family and I really appriciate your business. My family have been Glamis duners for over 30 years. For those of you who are shopping, remember this old addage... "You get what you pay for."
See you at the Sand Sports Super Show!

i totally agree with this. thats why im gonna go with lazor stars. i just gotta get my money saved up for it. im looking for the lights with the handle bar clamps for my banshee cuz im a old three wheeler and light the light to follow my handle bars more. and i figure why get rid of the stock lights ill use those and upgrade when im ready.
hey ron!! what will it cost me to get a handle bar set up with 2 starz that can run with my stock lights and stator(for now). what will it cost me out the door? let me know and ill do business with you when i get the money.
thanks

these little lights put out that much daylight? i've always run 8" lights on my bikes, from pro comps to maxtels, but if these little things work, i'd be very interested. even have ideas for a bad ass little stainless steel cage for them
