I am cheap...bottom line. I like a good deal, but not the cheapest priced item, I do like quality. Anybody know of places that have good deals? Here are a few of mine...
Costco has excellent double chairs for $20. They are fold ups and come in a storage bag.
Costco/Sams club is the best place to buy propane cylinders, Wal mart is too.
Wal Mart has the best prices on engine oil, filters, etc.. and they take used oil too. They are also the best for snacks, hairspray, deodrant, paper towels, cups, forks, etc....not to mention household cleaners....you will save a bundle compared to the supermarket...
If you live in Corona, Budget King has the BEST carne asada. On sixth street.. and Glenn Ivy has propane and dump services, off the 15 @ Temescal Canyon...
anyone else got advice???????

Great topic!
I agree with all your cheap choices
Haven't tried Budget King yet and I live in Corona  Have to give it a shot this weekend.
For block ice... I can only find it at Stater Bros.
Cheap bagged ice... Sam's Club
Avocados (gotta have the guac)... Stater Bros. is usually cheaper
Mudslide mix... Sam's Club, hands down
Glow sticks...

I will never buy ice again! Freeze gallon jugs. Works great to keep S cold. As it thaws you can drink. Last weekend I took out 20 or so small frozen water bottles. Same deal. The small ones you can stuff into a 6 pack cooler. Why bring water AND ice? Best of both worlds!

Costco has some good stuff.
Try GTM. They get all of the merchandise from Costco and others, but it's open box stuff. Most of it is opened but not used. All DVDs are 10-$12. They've got a ton of LCD and rear proj. HDTVs for $700 to $2100, quite a bit less than in Costco. $459 32" TV is $299 at GTM. $159 pressure washer is $69 at GTM. $265 Titanium watch is $63. My sister picked up a $500 purse there for about $289. she wears only Gucchi, Burberry, YSL, all that stuff - and she has matching sh1t for her doofus dog, too! If she only knew how comical she looks with a Burberry purse, scarf, leash and dog collar... too funny!
I get Xmas presents for the neighbors kids there. Bought 2 scooters, neighbor thought they looked like $40 scooters, but only $8 ea.
Freezing 1 liter water jugs is a great idea, I also use the .99 blue ice 6 pak holder to keep the beers from moving in the cooler, refreeze every night in the trailer. Fill your Camelbak halfway with water and freeze, then before the ride, add the rest of the water. You'll have ice cold water cooling your back and to drink for the whole ride.
Costco gas is usually the cheapest, the hot dog /drink combo is hard to beat for $1.50.
Get an American Express Platinum airline card. Gives FF miles at 1mile/dollar spent, higher mileage if used for gas or groceries. You and your luggage are automatically insured when flying, rental car insurance as well, doubles the mfrs warr. on all items purchased except motor vehicles. Price protection guarantee. That and a Visa card is all you ever need. I tell people: never get a gas credit card or store credit card. Keep it simple.
Example: Buy some new digital toy at Best Buy and get their extended warr for 5 yrs. Then shop for a better price at some ultra low price discount place and Amex will mail you a check for the difference once you fax the ad over to them. If the item you bought goes bad, take it back to Best Buy, they have great customer service so you'll get a new one or a newer model. Pay off the entire balance every mo. and your Fico will go thru the roof. Then you'll get offers for credit cards with 0% interest for 1 yr.
Tell the Yamaha dealer you wanna buy a Raptor or some other bike, CASH. They'll knock $1400 off pretty quick. Whip out the Amex card and get the FF miles. Then when the bill comes in, pay it off with the 0% card. Now you just bought a bike for the cash price and you have 1 yr to make whatever size payments you want at 0% int. At the end of the yr, transfer the balance over to a fresh 0% 1 yr card. Repeat if necessary.
A lot of mfrs and websites are looking for people to review products and write an article on it. You get the item for free and all you have to do is say it doesn't suck. Won't work with Weekend Warrior. Sorry. So far I've gotten 2 high ticket items ($900 and $700) and I was just contacted this weekend to possibly get a $4500 tranny upgrade for my truck, either for free or very close to it. Still in negotiations. The friend who told them about me got a HUGE discount on an enclosed car trailer ($15,000), free WD hitch setup, free race engine and trans for his car, stereo/DVD, etc. He's totally sponsored and basically bought the car new and everything else has been donated to him. Not bad for putting a few stickers on your trailer.
Like to go to the movies? If a friend of yours works at a theater, they can give you free passes for movies, popcorn and sodas, no restrictions.
If you like Rolex, get them at pawn shops near military bases, officers buy them from the px catalog rock bottom and need cash, you can pick them up for 1/4 of retail. ONLY if you know how to spot real ones, some of the fakes are pretty good. Listen for the tick, that's a good start.
I'll have more later. Steve

I'm on the same plan socaldmax. When I bought my quad I did the 0% interest thing which I'll repeat until I pay it off . The American Express Smart Checks are also good for big purchases because you get 2.9 interest until you pay it off.
