    Trailer gvwr

Seems there's some wiggle room depending on how it is used (vanpool vs business or non-profit)

    Trailer gvwr

While good advice for those just towing travel trailers / toyhaulers; everything else i.e. carhaulers / flatbeds / dump trailers etc. needs the full Commercial A to be legal if over 10k - Green Arrow Non-Commercial Class A only lets you tow a Travel Trailer over 10k / Fifthwheel travel trailer...

    Radiator relocation

Under most sandrail conditions, the backside of the radiator will be a low pressure region when driving. This low pressure will significantly reduce the effectiveness of your fan package as they have to constantly overcome this pressure delta to move any air through, if mounted as shown in the...

    Strange Honda Cooling Issue

Bad thermostat? Is the bleed container attached at the high point in the system?

two 12v dying after heater use.

IIRC, the normal 6V is the same footprint at a Group 24 12V, only a bit taller. On my last toyhauler, I had to modify the shelf they sat on to account for the extra height but they slid right into place.

Gooseneck vs 5th Wheel on Toy haulers

Guessing it has to do with the fact the Reese adds a pivot point / isolation with the airbag to minimize leverage whereas the Gen-Y & many gooseneck adapters are more or less a solid lever all the way to the ball. Fifth wheel frames are not made for much bending moment / leverage in the hitch...

Smog now required on older diesel coaches

When's this BS supposed to start? If you get tested and passed will they issue a cert for a year or will they check every time we pass through?

    Driving gloves?

Can't stand driving in leather gloves with the plastic RZR steering wheel, too slippery & no feel. Only thing that worked for me were those nitrile dipped gloves like GorillaGrip or MaxiFlex but still prefer going without. In a pinch, you could try disposable latex gloves

    Any GM Techs, Automotive Guru's...

Yes, the car should generally be at ride height when the lower control link inner bushings are tightened to avoid twisting/tearing the rubber, especially on hydraulic bushings. Although, I would question if these were even removed as part of the work you had done. They could likely just pull the...

    Wheel questions

This won't work if welded onto your spindle uprights, it's not load bearing

    New Requirement for Arizona Offroaders

Seen that before too with a rookie guy - after the third time the cage touched sand in 24hrs we told him to park it and go back to hardpack

Thanksgiving 24 what have you destroyed?

Sounds like you just needed a bigger test light

    Wheel questions

These are just inserts to use in place of the axle shaft to keep the hub together when converted to 2wd.

    Wheel questions

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the CanAm hub rotate inside the spindle mounted bearing with the axle stub running through the center? The axle stub does not move relative to the hub so even welding that cutoff in place of the combo spindle will not allow for rotation.

    Coachella Canel Road

No thanks - drove up it for Vets trip this year and took the road through Holtville on the way back home just to avoid it.

    Permit in Yuma?

It's below their Vendor Information form - not very intuitive if you ask me. https://isdpermits.net/vendor-information/

    Permit in Yuma?

Unfortunately the locator is missing quite a few of the locations compared to their own list. None shown in the Yuma area and none in Vegas, despite there being a few in both. Edit - turns out the map only shows 19 of the 93 vendors listed on their site

    Bugs fixes modifications thread

Maybe it's a temp thing until the final homepage is launched but when navigating around the forum and clicking on any link that directs back to "https://glamisdunes.com", it appears to log me out & the theme changes. All 3 red above get me this: From there the only way to return to my...

    Seen This?(Land Grab)

Saw this last night too. Here's a closer view of the land area in question - basically the entire East side of train tracks / 78 to the Colorado River. Certainly one of the white squares within is the Boardmanville parcel. Looks like the proposed Chuckwalla monument covers the other side of...
