Who here likes to go to Parker during the summer? Where do you usually like to stay?

In the past I've always stayed at Pirates Den but undecided what I'm doing this summer!

Parker Keys, waterfront home was the best trip I ever had to the river...ever.

Love me some Parker. We stay with family that has a house within earshot of roadrunner. Can't say I've stayed many other places. IMG_20240717_220140.jpg

We hit Parker several times a year and do something different (We live in Havasu). We'll be down this next weekend and in June for sure.

We've rented houses in the Keys and taken the motorhome to Pirates Den. We enjoy Pirates Den. I just wish they had more slips to rent or use so I don't have to pull my boat out if we don't get the front row.

Roadrunner has rentals now too. They are a bit pricey but new and nice.

the Parker Strip is beautiful, but we don't go there due to the traffic. Our jet boat doesn't like the rough water.

90% of the time we run the Needles area down to the gorge and back
Water is way better, it can get busy but it's manageable. Parker has almost ended us every time, just like Laughlin never going back up past the Memorial "lazy harrys"

My only reason is having to pull your boat out every night unless you are parked on the front row and have a beach. Even that can be a roll of the dice with the wakeboard boat homos.

Yeah...I said it. 😂
Thanks for the warning. I’ll watch for the captain Ace and Gary wake.
The pictures I have seen show a dock area off a channel. Do they rent dock spaces? Do you suggest not leaving your boat in one of those spaces over night?
How is the food at the restaurant?

Last year, they were not allowing people to leave their boats on the dock past 11pm. I do not recall that they rent slips. They have rentals that take up a fair amount of their space.

I pull mine out and put it in their overflow lot in the RV park. If you get a big enough spot, you can fit your truck, boat/trailer and RV.

The restaurant is decent. We like to go up river to Roadrunner, Foxes, Sundance, the pizza place at the river bend, the sandwich place on the river, etc... There are some little places in town too. We also do big family dinner's so we bring and make a lot of our own stuff.

Mac pretty much covered it, they do have private security but not sure how aggressive they are.
The food at Pirates is typical bar food and has consistently gotten worse over time, same with Pirates in Topock.
If I had a douche canoe, I'd be Ok with leaving it on shore overnight. Anything else that might take on water, nope take it out. You'll see many night runs with waves and early morning glass skiers making waves.

Growing up my parents had a place on the Parker Strip at Branson's. I have not been to Parker in over 30 years.

Thanks. I am looking for a campground for a trip this winter.

Headed to cattail Cove for the weekend to watch some rowboats zip by. Not a bad little old campground, we have been going for a couple years to watch Desert Storm.

We'll most likely be down that way after the Friday parade through the channel and then head to outer harbor.
