I am thinking about buying a this Twisted Tin car. Has anybody heard of them? Also how is the build quality? Or any other info about them would be greatly appreciated.

Thought since we have a Funco Forum - it would be a good idea to have a gallery of cars for all of the builders. Not for Tech - those questions/topics to stay in the Technical forum. Post them pics of your awesome cars!!!

What have you done with getting a title transfered out of Texas to Cali? Reason I ask is that when you get a Title from texas on a Off road car, there is a VIN on the title, but Texas does not attach a VIN plate to the car!!! Therfore, when you try to transfer title, a VIN Verifaction is required but there is not one on the car.... Im sure I am not the first one to deal with this.... anyone else have some insight?

Just a few pics of what I'm having built for us. It will eventually encompass 350' of 1 3/4 x .120 4130, so needless to say it will be a heavy bitch! We're doing this primarily in the interest of safety, and to make a few changes to our current frame. We dune with a couple of very nice cars, a fresh Ricochet, a new Tatum TRX4 and a 2 seater that's getting a makeover as we speak... so we felt the need to upgrade as well. There is a lot more done than what I am posting photos of but I will wait until it is further along before I reveal exactly what our fabricator has built for us. Did I mention that this will be strong? This front bulkhead assembly is .250 4130, the u…

I have this SandLimo, but I don't know much about it. It's registered as a 2009, powered by a 2.2 ecotec with 091 trans. It runs great and definitely hauls the gear. I have heard Joe Fab made about 2 dozen of them but that is just a rumor at this point. If anyone has some more information on this, I would appreciate it.

I purchased this car from Robert Mason after my family and I lost our old car in a house fire back in February of this year. This is one of two cars that Robert and his brother Neil were building for themselves. Therefore, they are not a production car. I have most the parts for it besides the engine. Mason Motorsports builds the best Trophy Trucks around in my opinion so I’m super stoked to have this car. I’ll update this thread as progress moves forward.

New to the forum. Just brought this home and looking for some help to identify it. It's pretty chopped up now but we're going to try and get it back close to what it was. It was bought new approx 12 years ago by Warner Bros. movie company and then modified to be used in a Batman/Superman movie that was never completed.

Buddy of mine bought this car on a whim last summer. Never made it out, to the dunes or desert, and it planning on selling it. He didnt know much about it when he bought it (hes a rotary guy, which is the real reason he bought it I think) and doesnt know much about it now. He has moved on the the dream of a boat, so this has got to go. Know anything about it? Know what he might be able to get for it? This is what he told me about the car.... 13b from a rx7 Transaxle is a 091 bus axle It runs, pretty good I guess, but the brakes needs some attention in that they dont stop the car very well. I would imaging they need to be bled or something. Not too su…

Tried calling Baja Designs last week and this week to ask some questions and order some product but nobody answers the phones? Any idea what's going on over there or is this just lingering issues with nobody wanting to work these days?

I bought a nice Gen 3 this winter without back seat/bench seat. Car looks like it is tabbed for a bench. 4 tabs behind the gas tank and only two up front and on the sides. Is there a particular seat maker that can make on that fits. I bought two single PRP seats and was just going to cut of the front inside tab and mount 3 points but seat won't clear the frame. My Gen 4 mounts seam to be mounted about 3" farther up front. Any ideas? Either I figure out a bench and sell the PRP's or have someone fab or re-tab for 2 rear seats. I saw a picture of the car with rear seats but don't know how they did it.

Purchased on 11/30/21, Summit cancelled due to new part number in January, ship dates went from Jan 20th, March 30th, to May 6th...At this point I kept my eye on Ebay and a Chevy dealer had the long block available. I wish I would have gone this route to begin with as it seems like I'll be saving about 1k vs a complete engine all said and done with intake / water pump / injectors / coils...Anyway - super stoked to finally get things rolling...this is the first crate engine I've purchased - looking forward to the build.

I currently have a set of 17” OMF bead locked wheels on my car, and am about to step up from 10.80s to 12.50 front tires. I am measuring before I dismount and it looks like my front wheels are like 5” wide, and the STUs recommend a 6.5-7.5 wide wheel. Anyone run these tires on a narrower rim like mine? I’m leaning towards giving it a try… If I’m wanting new wheels, who is still around making 17” wheels for sand cars besides OMF and Douglas? I believe after talking to OMF that my wheels started as Champions before they got the beadlocks on them, so I can’t buy just new fronts…. What rims do you guys like? I liked the Raceline wheels they used to sell, bu…

Looking to see what kind of option everyone has done for building a roof scoop or wing of some type to help pull air down to the radiator on cars with windshields. My car isnt having a crazy overheating problem just tends to run a little warm when running it really hard so looking to move a little fresh air down to the radiator and heat exchanger. Just looking for some ideas that wont stand out too much on the look of the car
