The packaging said a roast. It looks like a tomahawk steak to me without the handle. It’s the first time I’ve done one of these we will see.

The wife has been bugging me to bring a portable pizza oven to the dunes. Did a few searches, seems there are a few options. Has anyone tried it? Doable? Smart? Dumb? I need some advice from the foodies here.

Last one from the race track.... When your @ the gas station filling up before you head out of town, throw your corn on the cob into the bottom of the cooler liberally sprinkle each of the cobs with salt (dont worry about it falling to the bottom) Fill up the cooler with ice so that its 2" above the top of the corn. Leave it sit for a day or two so that the ice melts & the corn is all the way down in the cold salted ice water. if the corn becomes exposed, put more ice on top of it (or beer) throw the corn & the husk onto the fire & cook it until it has boiled all of the water out of the cobs. you will know its done when the husk…

One of the guys I raced with would make this & bring it to the track. he put it into a large ziplock bag & we would keep it in the cooler until we were ready to grill it up. its mostly cooked in the microwave, so we were just kind of re-heating it when we got to the track. We have made a double batch & frozen 1/2 of it & it came out AWESOME when grilled. Eddies Kickin’ Chicken For 5 - 7 boneless skinless chicken breasts In large microwavable bowl with lid add. The one at the track was 14 cup's. 1 lg bottle Wishbone Italian dressing. 8 - 10 fl. oz. Franks red hot original cayenne pepper sauce. 1- 1 1/2 o…

Boston Butt 1 2

Smoking a butt is easy and all you need is a Weber grill and a light flavored wood for smoke, I use apple. This takes about 8-9 hours total. 3-4 tablespoons of your favorite pork rub liberally coating all sides. 1/2 cup each of apple juice and apple cider vinegar for basting every few hours. Ok, keep the temps 250-275 and throw on a couple chunks of soaked apple wood on your coals. Place a drip pan under your butt with the fat cap up and have a beer! Pay attention to your temps or you might be cooking for 14 hours instead of 8. Once you hit internal temp of 190, double wrap in foil for an hour, open it up and pull apart with forks, mixing in some bbq sauc…

The temps are rising and it's time for a refreshing cocktail I wasn't a Gin guy at all until a couple years ago and this is the drink that changed that for me, I absolutely love a good Gin & Tonic! I now have about half as many different Gins as I do Whiskeys (and that's a lot). https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/49355/gin-and-tonic/ One of my favorites to use for G&T is Hendrick's Midsummer Solstice with Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic Water I always toss in a lime wedge and will generally toss in a splash of Rose's Sweetened Lime Juice This is the way!
