I picked up this car as a spare last season and the project started almost immediately and has been ongoing. Car started out as a 4 seat Gen 4 with 934’s, S5S and a Danzio Brutus motor. In my infinite wisdom I decided to put a 4.5 liter whipple on my 11:1 stroker motor and put the boost at 14 psi on E85. I took it to Turnkey and then Funco to cram the whipple in the car. Grant told me it was a bad idea but if we are going to do it let’s do it right. So we took the back seats out and put the big tank and the gen 6 radiator in the car. He then said well if you are going to chop up the car you might as well add the sway bar and do the new shifter. So we did with about a month until desert season. Once October hit I wanted my car to drive so I said we will finish this project next summer so wrap her up and leave her raw so she can go to Turnkey for Dyno. Car went to Dyno and then out to the desert. The motor lasted about 3 trips before I broke the crank shaft. Not anyone’s fault but mine. We drive our stuff hard and it was a old tired motor that I bolted a whipple on. Honestly, the blower motor was too much motor for the Gen 4 anyway. You couldn’t give the car 1/5 throttle in 5th gear at 2000 rpm without pulling the front tires off the ground. So I called Kolby at turnkey and asked what can you build me quick. He said I can have you a 525 crate ls3 with a Holley all tuned and ready to go in 3 days. I ordered it on the spot and 3 days later I motor swapped the car at road runner. It took about two days to have the car running once the motor was delivered. The the ls3 was bullet proof all season and was the perfect power for the car. All the wheelie pics I put on Instagram are from the ls3. Now to the project. I added the new air system while we were in Glamis. Next up I need some aluminum work to enclose the rear and create a nice big storage box. I plan on not doing doors and leaving the open driver and passenger seat for easy entry. Once I get that done the car will be torn down and sent off for a nice fresh black powder coat. Stay tuned!

Haha, it was either swap the motor right there at RRE or I was going to be riding a cooler for the rest of the season. The air system install was fun too. Good thing the mountains were blue.
