I know most use their own rubs like I do but I'm looking for a change. I see many options in many states over the net.

What good?

lootn booty is pretty good stuff, he has grand mastered at the last 2 comps hes entered.  for my non comp stuff I use plowboys bovine bold.

I've used Montreal Steak seasoning, don't go overboard, it's really peppery, I use a lot on tritip to get the nice crust, but a lot less on ribs, I prefer the BBQ sauce to add more flavor. I'm currently using a Jack Daniels rub with vinegar and oil on steak, pulled pork and ribs. I'm not saying these are the best because I don't compete, just experimenting, but I liked the flavor of these.

I'll have to try out saychz316's and Kevin's suggestions.

Does the bacon hold the moisture or does it just give flavor?

Pretty much the only way i do them now after first trying it a few years back.  Taste so much better than the fried turkeys we did.

Bring it first. Just a simple brine makes it the juiciest turkey ever.

Ya not much of a fan of fried Turkey. The skin taste good but you can't get the flavor of the meat like a sitting cook.

I get too impatient and want the food cooked now!

Use to grill on a 22" Weber and used mesquite. Love the smell and taste.

About 7 years ago I bought a gas grill and been using it at least once a week.

I still burn some meat.

I guess I put the flames too high since I want my food now.

Would like to learn how to grill a steak and ribs.

Learning a lot from you guys

I've smoked Turkey twice.  It's OK.  But a Weber Turkey is WAY easier and tastes better.  2 hours and done.  Like said above, if you can brine it overnight, it's much juicier and has an even better taste.  Takes away any need for injection for flavor.

The Goat was delicious!  Pretty much like lamb.  Melt in your mouth and very greasy.  Still burping it up this morning.

this is the way I do my turkey every year now, so simple and no clean up.  I have done them all, this is by far the best.
