Cummins makes the 5.0 diesel in the new Titan XD, if that's what you're referring to.

Check Nada. It's all there. I think it's time for me to buy a new truck.

They've been out for a few months now. My neighbor was looking at one back in June. Nice looking trucks

My previous tenant bought one 5 months ago in AZ. Other than the emblem on the side, you'd never knows it's diesel. Super quiet

Marketed as a 5/8 ton... fitting in between the half tons and full size diesels. Rated to tow 12,200lb with its 555tq

That's the point. Cummins in a Dodge has an excellent reputation, so instead of Chrysler making sure that rep stays with Dodge, Nissan gets to stick a badge on their truck and it's an instant hit, while Chrysler goes with that piece of crap VM. :nag:

This engine was meant for dodge a few years ago. The person in charge of the program was "let go" and he took the whole thing to Nissan and put it in a Titan. I have checked it out a few times. Probably will have one soon.

Toyota's 1/2 ton pulls the space shuttle?

As I read it, Dodge decided the motor didn't have the horsepower and torque numbers they felt their brand needed so they passed on it in favor of the Italian diesel they are running in the Ram half ton now. The motor was then picked up by Nissan. Toyota supposedly was also going to run the same cummins engine in their Tundra but as I hear it, they can't make the numbers work to their liking, with regards to the mileage increase verses the extra cost premium the diesel would need to stay within the margins.
