I have brackets on the side with bicycle toe straps to keep the arms in so that doesn't happen. DON~~~

The same bracket can lift up your arm so you can walk under the arm. DON~~~

Yes.  Mine deployed before I could pull over, ripped off the side, then ran over by all 18 wheels of a rig I was passing.  LOL.
