RIP Terrarium TV

Recommended Posts

It's a sad day.  Terrarium pushed an "update" effectively closing the app.  I'm so bummed.  This was the best streaming app/gateway I have come across and used so far.  I'm in the middle of a couple shows and now I'm scrambling to find a new service/app to use to watch shows and movies.

This is especially shitty because Shameless just came back for a new season, GOT is on it's way back.  So many others.  And what about unlimited access to movies?  I'm just so bummed.

Any ideas from the crowd on where to go now?  If you're a techie nerd...spell it out in layman terms for us challenged folk.  I use the Firestick so android app capable would be great!

Both you...shut your mouths.

I have cable but I HATE commercials and I don't want to pay $1000 a month to watch shows because this one is on Amazon, this one On Netflix, on showtime, on HBO...you get the picture.

There is a fix to allow it to keep working for a few months. Somebody will keep it going, watch and see.

Delete Terrarium and move on with your life.

DO NOT USE JAIL BREAK VERSIONS - there are some real scumbags out in the interwebz and this is their gate to your personal data or information for malicious purposes. It will not be open surce, so may it RIP.

Kodi works, its just not as user friendly.

Something will pop up eventually............ better call DTV, Hulu and Netflix back right now :lmao:

I'm in the same boat and I will be watching this. I was ready to pull the plug on DTV but when they offered me a 50% discount to stay for another year I didn't cancel. The wife still has the DVR set to record but I hate the commercials.

Would I deny you to watch Frank Gallagher try to make Chicago White again............. That's what he's up to this season he is going to get a white guy, who's last name is White BTW. Elected to the City Council . And he's going to do it the Gallagher way of course.

This.  Nothing in life is free, and people don't bootleg all of these shows out of the kindness of their hearts.  Using one of these is like letting a tweeker into your house because he gives you free car batteries...

DirecTV and Netflix is plenty of TV, costs me about $70-ish/month, depending on what deals DirecTV is willing to give me when I threaten to cancel.  When I exhaust Netflix, I'll move onto Amazon and rinse and repeat through all of the services.  No way I have time to watch all of the streaming services anyway...

Kodi, jail broken fire sticks, spmc, and every other site can be malicious. I keep my Android box as plain as vanilla. They want to see my info they will be pretty bored.

What about all of the other devices and traffic going across that same network? :bigrin

If you must get one of these, I'd suggest giving it its own VLAN at minimum...
