How much boost Honda 3.5

Recommended Posts

Lotta variables involved including your state's 'pump' gas.  My j35a1 runs 8 psi on CA 91 pump.  Stock motor, t3 turbo, intercooler, RC 720 injectors, AEM Series 2.

With a stock ecu, none!

Race gas only and 7psi if you want it to last more than a season.

With a tunable ecu,  only a tuner can tell.. but the cylinders start to wobble after about 12psi. (need closed deck)

You will be on borrowed time turboing a stock Honda.  Use an LS if you want more power.

I made 410 to the ground with 8lbs and 100 octane with a aem series 2. Not all turbos flow the same but I’d say tune it for 6-8lbs using whatever gas you want. And if that blows up 500$ and go get another one. Or get an LS if you want to be slower and can’t keep momentum through the dunes.

You will need a tunable ECU, Need to pull a lot of timing out of the motor or it will ping itself to death

Who tuned your motor? Autowave did mine with similar numbers. You’ll like the added torque down low. It will tractor anywhere in 3rd if you want

Just a local tuner here in Kingman, AZ. He uses a Dynocom  dyno.

Very generous dyno...

Show us the AFR. I would think he would have to make it run fat to compensate for pump gas.

I’d say that number is pretty close. Mine made 410 with race gas and 8lbs. My turbo moves a good amount of air though.

Big injectors, re-done fuel system, GT35R, Tial 44mm, meth injected at 11psi on 110 race was 375 rwhp. for me.

Never cared about the numbers as I was blowing past built LSx's.. :legit:

No intercooler. Was running an Autronic ecu.  Had it set to kick on at full boost or if intake temps reached 160ishh (iirc)

Makes sense. To me a dyno is a tool. They can make them spit out whatever they want it to say.
