I always hear about the transmission excuse. "it'll break" but all thing being equal, I'm no rwealthy guy and blowing a 2D would be tough to recover from, so if my broke azz is willing to race "legit" than these high HP ballers should.. 

Pusays...  lol.. j/k 

 

They still run 'em like that down in Gordons!

I’m a little late to the conversation, But a good staff and some stud racers, that would be a cool gathering don’t you think Flip Flop? :bigrin

I did the "dig" starts with my Type1 swing all the time, Buick 215 V8 in a prowlers sand sprite 4

I loved that motor ^^^^^^, I used to pull them out at the junk yard and dream....."all aluminum V8"  had a selection of parts even 4 speed bellhousing.  then I got the olds F85 version of the same motor.  extra head bolts, factory 4 barrel carb..... I was still dreaming big.  that was in the early 80's.  right on! Then Rover bought the rights to the motor, then they made it a 4.7liter oh man.............................

since then I switch to Subies  its the next step past the all aluminum V8! :)
