pennywise 93 Posted January 26 (edited) I was going to wait to post until it was complete but I let the cat out of the bag early. So after owning a handful of cars over the last few years including SCU, (3) SU's, Desert Dynamics, Tatum, Sand Limo & Funco. I decided for what I wanted there were two cars that fit the bill. After a lot of thinking and contemplating I decided on building an SCU. I wanted the car to be simple, easy to get in & out, powerful but reliable, smooth but still able to eat up the whoops. I talked with Don and this is what we came up with. The car has a Rancho built S4D & CBM 440 flat top piston motor with Fast 102 intake, jet trim seats (heated front) switch pro, Baja Designs front lights and radius light bar, AEM dash, space for big cooler up front, crow seat belts, 934's, interior panels, dash & center console all wrapped and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things. I'll add some more pics next week as it progresses. Edited January 26 by pennywise 4 Go to top

Romans9 365 Posted January 26 Very nice! Excellent choice. Is this the first one with low sides? I’ve never seen any SCU like that. Go to top

I think its the second one but the first without doors. The car before mine was similar but the owner changed their mind and added doors. Go to top

B0NES 53 Posted January 27 I’m stoked I get to witness this build. I love scu’s and I agree with Hondajimz love that color scheme. Your alumicraft @hondajimz by the way is an equally great color scheme. 👍🏽 Cant wait to see how this turns out. 1 Go to top

Yes ProAm, I’m not 100% sure of the exact hub but there are quite a few 1000+hp cars with Albins running the same hubs and hub failure is not an issue. Edit: Talked to Don and there are micro stub, they are the best ones ProAm sells. He says his cars have great CV angles and there is no need for the mid-board. These hubs also a lot less expensive now & to service in the future. I think he has the motto of if it’s not broke don’t fix it.
