Anybody going?  Do you have to get passes online or can you buy it all at the gate?

I'll be there.  Tickets are only avail at the gate now.

Where can I purchase tickets for King of The Hammers?
ULTRA4License.com  is where tickets can be purchased in advance until 1/25 under "general event." After that, they will be available for sale at the gate. They are $30. Kids 10 and under are free as always. The price is good for one day or the entire week.  Military discounts are available only at the gate with Military ID. Active Duty are free, Veterans and dependants with Military ID are half off at the gate ($15).

You don't need a pass to watch, just to get into Hammertown. If you like chaos, then head on in.

Where is everyone camping? This will be my first time, and I've been told I don't really want to camp in Hammertown.

Our crew will be there! #4693 We camp on the North side of Hammer Town as you head to Backdoor. Right along the pedestrian fence in front of the shootout.

No, you do not unless you want to get pinned and leave when they let you out. It's quite a zoo. I used to like camping at Soggy Dry Lake and just running  over for some event watching when we feel like it. We now have friends that have a private camp with full hookups on the south side of 247.

I've never been to this, and I've never been to Johnson Valley.  Can I go and do a little riding and exploring in Johnson Valley away from the action, and also enjoy the KOTH competitions, or is it totally blocked off to independent riding?

From what I read, you are supposed to pay the entry fee to be ANYWHERE in Johnson valley during this event....some kind of agreement/rental  with the BLM....not sure how enforceable it is.... but that's what I read.

I'll be there Wed 2/6 late afternoon until Sunday 2/10  Camping just below Turkey Claw.   Stay away from the Hammer town camping unless you want to be stuck in a dust bowl and have all your towing vehicles wasted.  Takes about 6 min to get to hammer town from TUrkey claw and no dust.

And Yes your suppose to pay  no matter if you go into Hammer town or not.

That looks like a great spot, how best can you get there with a small (26') tag trailer? Do you just go in the main entrance and then head east on the best tracks you can find, looking at the satellite it's hard to tell.

They don't enforce entry fees unless you drive in on Boone Road heading into Hammertown. Do as you please.
