John@Outfront Mtrsprts 294 Posted February 3 (edited) Had a great weekend. Burned 110 gallons of e85 in 2.5 days. Had one guy break a header in half holding the turbo, so bad that the exhaust shot out towards the timing cover and melted the whole thing. (Not my header lol) Joe fab welded it. Another funco lost a rear air bad and split another Douglas front rim (,that was machined too thin) the worst was on our last run and 1/2 mile from camp a rock was flung up from a 500hp subi and went through the googles of next driver and then knock his lens out of his glasses! The victim was sand wizard on the board. If he didnt have glasses on I suspect it would have been a lot worse. onanysunday 252 Posted February 7 Great first pic. Wow glad he is ok. Could have been bad. Second broke rim that was to thin I have heard of this season. Had my own share of carnage and drove home yesterday looking at butter smooth dunes and plenty of fuel left to burn. Ugg. Go to top

rampster 60 Posted February 7 Hmmm I have experienced similar trouble this year as well. My bolt on my air bag bracket came off and the bracket punctured my airbag. I now carry a spare airbag and I will perform more spot checks on those brackets. Go to top

Let one side drop down and bent the hell out of everything. I am going to drill some holes in one side of the air bag to use a rod and press it back flat. Then weld up the holes. Perch and bushing have to come from Funco. Hoping I can bend the tabs on the trailing arm back in place and then I will weld in some gussets. If you don't think that can happen or if that is something that will happen you are new to the ISDRA and have clue of the history that has gone down up to this point. It’s already happened, as you know. The CBD, Sierra Club, and PEER all took BLM to court for the “Environemntal Species Act”. Hence why we have and have had closures in the ISDRA. I dig the stops in the dunes for a place to gather and hang out. But we don’t need anymore. It’s just gonna give those environmentalists more ammo unfortunately. But that’s a convo for a different thread at a different time 1 Go to top
