Recommended Posts

I always loves the way the albins shifter feels

we are now producing shifters for the Seq Trans

have done some testing and think they work pretty good couple of pics of the shifter before paint

These have sliding stops

and shaft are full Ball Bearings, and the bearings on the shaft sit around 1'' apart

so no side to side movement very smooth

my S4D really shifts like a Albins now

Hey brother, as always, great work! Can you make them taller, as that’s a new trend?

Is this a direct replacement for a hargget shifter or will it fit close?  I'm interested. What's the price and availability?  I have a single handle harggett that I have modified to my liking. But it is on its last leg and loose

can I trade in my new in the box Mende shifter I got from you for one of these?  I am pretty sure it is still in the box you shipped it to me in.. I didn't know you were working on these or I'd have waited.

I'll take one not powder coated as I may have to modify to get it into my car. Shoot me a PM.

JAlper - So Glad you decided to step in and build these - its something really needed...  I am with DWB in that the tall shifter provides greater leverage  and is fun ...

get the pricing and options sorted - I think its gonna be a hit -

I think Black anodized tall would be the hot ticket

11'' from pivot to top,

I would think to add a 1''-2'' the best way would be for us to have a round spacer matching the bottom of the knob

if complete custom handles it is about $400 in material and design time setup ect… typically we have to run about 2 to dial in offsets ect,

Why would you have to “redesign” offsets? Both “end” components should stay exactly the same..(knob mounting point,& lower pivot area) you’d just need to stretch the length of the tapered  triangle portion in the middle.. looks like you are going to sell A bunch of them. looks like it would be worthwhile to offer different lengths

does this have slots for the cable to be both mounted below and above the pivot point?

PBS style or mid is cable below

Mendi S series is cable above

So we have two different shift handles

its not I do not, you have to be a CNC programmer to really under stand, if you even change the one thing it hours of work, I do not want to spend 10 hours for one change,

It does it mater Why it is what I charge,  It really is not Worthwhile to make the shifters we have, I just hate how the trans shift, I really do not want to make them, it is a Shit ton of work, from Design to out the door,
