WTB - 15” beadlock rims

Recommended Posts

I tried to get my wheel welded up but after over a month at US Wheel and Repair I went in to check on it and he couldn’t get it fixed. I was hoping to get wide 5’s and covert it over in the off season but im still wanting to get out this season another time or two. Anybody have rims?

Are you interested in selling just the front rims?

what about dropping them off to the Water jet and cutting out the center and putting in the bolt pattern

I have done this before,

I bolt in a spindle so they can find center, and away it cuts

Make sure they do the bolt patter first

then take a counter sink bit, and counter sink the holes with some green rapid tap and you now have a great looing rim

I've done the same with old Bogarts. Cut out the center and press out the studs on an old hub and clamp it to the hub, spin it till it runs true and mark the holes with a transfer punch drill them out and your done. Back when i had more time than money.

I think i know a set of 15” soon for sale, why couldnt us wheel fix your other wheel?

He said his welder wasn’t powerful enough. His other welder had broke awhile back.

I found a set of almost new rims, but he hasn’t given me a price yet.

When do you need them by?   'll have a full set of Douglass 15"s with 33 blaster #1's and 10.75 fronts I'll be selling after the first weekend in April.  I'm going to 17's and changing offset but I have one  more trip to do. Mine are PC satin black and the holes have been drilled and steel inserts pressed in so they will never wallow out.

Details on this?  Where did you get the inserts?  Did you drill out by hand and the press them in?  I’m thinking tolerances need to be much tighter than a hand drill can do for a proper press-fit.

The inserts were hard to find. I took them to a guys in Riverside that had a jig and a mill. He had the inserts too. I’ll try and find his number.
