Damon Daybreak Guidance and Suggestions

Recommended Posts

Have never owned a motorhome in my life and am thinking about selling my F-350 and toyhauler to purchase a decent used motorhome. All of the research out there is mind numbing so I'm looking for some input on a particular model. If you have ever owned or are close to someone who has owned a 2005 Damon Daybreak 3270, or close either side year wise, I would like to hear your experiences. Things to be aware of, common failures, features that might put it above another on the list...

I have a coworker with a 2005 an his wife is having some health issues that they see preventing them from using it as they would wish. The rig spends about eight months out of the year up at Silent Valley RV Resort, the rest of the time in 29 Palms. Currently has 23K miles on the Triton V-10 motor. He's thinking take over payments of a little below the $10K range. I know it won't have all of the bells and whistles of newer rigs nor some of the current safety features and it is really a little older than I wish but I'm thinking it may be a good "starter/beginner" motorhome. Will be my wife, myself, and two dogs. On occasion a grand daughter when she gets a little older. Plans are to tow a 4 seat SXS on a utility trailer, maybe enclosed at some point, and a Jeep when not heading to the dunes.

I appreciate all pros and cons if you're able to provide.

For 10k sounds good if the condition is right
