Two Seat Sandcar Length

Recommended Posts

Hi from Oregon,

I Sold my 5 seat SCU a few years back and am thinking about getting back into a long travel car in the near future.  Kids are growing and riding their own machines so I am going to be in the market for a two seater.  Was curious if I could get some input on the overall length of some people's cars?  I have a 40' hauler but it only has a 13' garage.  Hoping their might be some options for me with that garage length.  I heard the Tech3's were around 13' but not sure.

I appreciate everyone's input.

Good luck with that. I don't think too many long travel 2 seaters are under 13ft unless they are motorcycle powered. My 2 seat AlumiCraft is right around 15ft

I cant remember if my tech 3 is 12'9" or my weekend warrior was 12'9" to the oven. I did take my oven out to make mine fit though (WW FS2600).

Travelah - what is the wheel base on your car?

Gantry crane and removable tire supports that plug into the side supports would allow you to fit a 14-ish foot buggy in there at a 45* angle.  Don't be skurred. :bigrin

I have a mid engine car that would probably fit if you took the wing off every time. (3 zues fittings no big deal) .

Thanks again for the replies!  This helps a lot. I’m going to get a hold of some builders and see what they say.

My BFD Revo is just over 12' end to end. Mine doesnt have the rear wing some of them have though..

I bet even with the wing youd be fine though.

Mid engine 2 seat. Mine has the 4cyl ecotec but I know they built some with the Camaro V6 and a few other motors.

Theres a busa powered one for sale here now on GD.

2-seat mid-engine Playtech, with LS6. It is around 14 feet. As someone above mentioned, removing the wing trunk helps. I get mine in a 20 foot trailer with (2) quads in front of it. Good luck.

Your car really needs to be 11-12ft so you have room to strap it down. Probably won’t find a 2 seat car at that length. On a side note I have a voltage 3818 with an 18ft garage I’ll sell that will fit any sand car lol.

This can get you some (12''-48'')  xtra space. https://toyhaulerextensions.com/

There is also one that is just a box in the middle of the existing ramp that allows for xtra room for a wing, engine cage, etc.
