Freshen up LS2

Recommended Posts

Pulling the trans this off season and was thinking of taking the engine out and gone thru, new rings, gaskets and whatever. Who would you have do this and is it worth it? Not having any issues just that its been in the car for 12 years (low boost)

Phoenix area

Jason Alper... A lot of people on this board have had great success with him.  He has built 2 motors for me personally.

Alex  @hondo on the board in Tucson.

Did my LS2 a couple years ago and it has been flawless.   PM me if you want more details including dyno results.

I was referred to kelly At wfo racing in phx by a big time ls street car guy, but I don’t have any personal experience with him other than a couple emails about machine work.

I would definitely recommend @J Alper after talking to him about my current ls2 build, currently ordering a cam and some other parts from him. Great option if you don’t mind driving to Vegas.

Sure no problem.   Here it is.   Rebuilt by Alex and tuned by Chris Hines at Arrowlane and I told him to error on the side of reliability and longevity.   This motor was rebuilt in 2017 and has had 2 flawless seasons put on it.    Those that know me I think would say I'm a fairly aggressive driver.   LS2 with 243 heads.   Through an Albins with 934's.

What cam are you running if you don’t mind me asking?

I have that somewhere let me find it.    I wanted a flat torque curve and have been happy with it.

I have had Jason work on my car for multiple years. This last year he stroked my ls2 and I’m more then happy with it. The guy will send you pictures of the entire process and always answer the phone. I’m sure there is others but I have always great success with Jason and his work.

x6 for Jason Alper. As everyone mentioned always answers the phone. Always sends you pictures and this is what makes you feel comfortable. Currently stroking my ls2 to a 440
