Next Saturday or the following Saturday. I need to check with the warden as to what works best. But if not end of June. I’d prefer to do it before it got too hot.

Ya those are the two trails I’m wanting to hit. Maybe try my hand at the gatekeeper too.

Checked out the Odessa Doran loop in calico. We went the Odessa side first and came down Doran. Really cool place. It was warm so I glad I got it in this weekend before it gets any hotter.

And then my attempt at the calico gatekeeper. I made it through. I had to winch one spot for a few feet Bc the holes made my 40s look like a kids bike tire. That gatekeeper is relentless. Even after you get through the hard rock parts there is a weird dirt canyon you have to straddle or you’re on your side immediately. I’ve watched videos of people going through it but those were from a handful of years back. It’s definitely more duh out and washed out. Very soon it will be rock buggy on 49s territory. Didn’t get too many good videos or success videos. My photo gal was getting bored watching lol.

Didn't realize that beastie was on 40s.  I think I see a Pro Rock 60 peaking out in one of the pics...
