Can Am X3 storage box

Recommended Posts

In preparation for my Baja trip I picked up a pretty nice storage box from Triumph Motorsports in Corona, CA. Happen to see them advertise it on Instagram.  I have the Can am plastic 8 gallon box, but I needed something a little bigger.

Pretty happy with the new one. It is about 1 1/2” taller than the bed side and it conforms perfectly to the shape of the bed. Pretty thick sheet metal and feels very sturdy. Also has a latch with a lock, which is nice. They use some good size bolts, washers and nuts to secure it in the bed.

Only downfall is the box is not completely dust or water tight. There are some holes that need to be covered and it needs some weather stripping for the lid. I am going to line the inside and fill I the holes to make it dust and water tight.

This box along with the roof rack I got should provide me with plenty of storage options.

They don’’t have it on their website for some reason.   Give them a call they are open on Saturdays.

If I get a chance I will measure it.

Nice box that just needs a hole filled..... :sha:

I have their box for my RZR,  I get asked about it all the time.

I didn’t like the fact that it semi permanently mounts with the nuts and bolts so I used the Polaris lock and ride for it.

The lid rattled, weather stripping cured that .

I do not know a Tim Morton.   My baja ride is not until July.

The box was $250.00.    I still need to get you the measurements.

On the Can Am there is no access panel to the top of the engine and filter like on the Polaris.  So mounting it with the bolts is not a problem on the X3.

It would of been nice if they use the linq locks that Can Am uses.

For the price they charge I think they are great storage boxes and the quality seems to be on par with more expensive ones.  My friend has the Holtz Racing box for his Turbo S.

Not bad for $199 + tax.

Room left to add a nice weather proof duffel bag.

Nice!   Amazing how much stuff you can get in the that  storage box.   Where did you get that cargo net?  I added a DMX roof rack and a net like that would be handy.

I added one of these tarps to place under the net to keep water out of the box and place anything else under the tarp I want to keep dry.
