They are the ones driving up R.E. values in Silicon Valley area. I just just got back from a motorcycle trip in Northern California. Riding back home through Bay area then Silicon Valley wrere rough. You think traffic is bad here?

Far Northen California is not a place you want to live either. Very sparsly populated but the citizens are mostly undesireable. I could not live there. weed growing EVERYWHERE outside the city centers.

RE prices here are crazy. My neighbor on the corner just listed their 50 yr old place at 1.6 mil

My wifes friend's daughter just graduated from college. She is VERY smart. She's going to work at Facebook for $300k TO START HER FIRST JOB. So yeah, real estate prices will respond accordingly.

Unfortunately, the workers building up the area must live elsewhere, thus the ridiculous traffic situation.

Me, 10 minutes from the beach, 2hrs from Glamis,  Some of the best MX tracks all within 1-2hrs.     Where else can I have this ?  Oh and nice weather year around.

I can tell you that no one is leaving San Diego, its more crowded than ever.  Been here my entire life.

Right after my earlier post, i walked into lowes in santee. I was waiting in line at customer service with a dozen other people and the lady behind me was reading out loud a sign on the refridgerator full of sodas and water bottles stating the state of ca says water bottles give you cancer.  I jokingly turned around and said, “thats why everyone is leaving ca, everything gives you cancer here”. Without a pause all dozen of us waiting and a few employees started talking like here, taxes, illegals, druggies, all in agreement our state is insane. This is great, people of all ages are getting it. This cannot go on forever.

I'm right at home! Cali is the place for me. As for the U-Hauls heading here... I say to them "Welcome back"! Probably all the people that left 15 years ago.

GOT A COLLEGE DEGREE? WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA

Domestic migration by educational attainment for adults 25 and older in 2017:

First Figure: Leaving California
Second Figure: Coming here

H.S. dropout
29,800
19,440
H.S. grad
76,384
45,333
Some college
118,050
74,968
Bachelor's degree
104,695
102,093
Graduate degree
71,975
80,756

I would have never guessed that all those illegal aliens and homeless people shitting on the sidewalks have college degrees.

Places that don't want homeless people clean them up, give them a few bucks, a bus ticket and send them here. All legal as they sign a statement that they are leaving of thier own free will before they get thier cash.

Just to clear the air..

I was at the UHaul for a hitch install.

We need it to carry an electric scooter. (It does need paddles though)

We are not fleeing California.

Should that change, Arizona has better weather a bit higher up toward Flagstaff.

Havasu has many of the inlaws already, so that would be the "B" option.

And I do like BJ's Bar there in LHC.

I work directly with a couple hundred small business owners. 15 years ago I'd say 20% planned on eventually leaving Ca, now it's over 90% easy. When all these solid contributors move out who will fund the socialism? Problem is most places where Californians are moving now have california priced real estate due to the demand (at least inland so cal prices), no more cashing out and enjoying the surplus as in years past.

Not just the construction workers. Every other person that is not in Tech can't afford to live here. Without doing a Google search, I would guess the average cost of rent for a basic 2 bd/ 2 bt apartment is $3500 a month or more.

Coming to a city near you! Soon there won't be many, just wait to see what that's gonna cost! Maybe because all tradesman will have Masters degrees.

I WISH that were the case. My wife does not want to leave. I'm ready. Certainly not Tennessee.

When we do eventually leave, I will retain all my real estate as rental income is my retirement.

Where would you move? Getting my things in order for retirement. Sold a rental we had to pay off our cabin so now I have a place to live with no payment. Yea

This guy has no choice , ASS UP HEAD DOWN work as hard as possible to out run the beaurcrats.  Fact is I like more about Ca then I hate.  beach mountains deserts  dunes all within quick striking distance. Oh

Yeah , then there is this , Current commercial  bldg. is paid for. This will help us grow our revenue streams. Plus we have to many tethers . family ,grandkids ,in laws  vendors. When we do decide if and when to bail , this is our ticket

Anybody down for a moving party  ,we get the keys the week of SSSS , timing is a beautiful thing  NOT !

Mid August we are planning a blowout parking lot sale.
