I stand corrected, thanks.  Either way, that's seems to be the issue.  I have plans to take the car out to Glamis on the 14th (ya its going to hot).  But, I want to get it checked out asap in case there is another problem I'll have time to fix it before the season.

You may want to determine what squished the plug electrode. Is/was there something in the cylinder or was it put in that way?

 

This ^^^

Compression test and leak down. Last time this happened to me I butted ring gaps and it was a chunk of piston that flatten the plug. compression was fine, leak down not so much.
