Gen 4 battery size

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Okay, I have a LS2 Big 5 Gen 4 and its about time for a new battery .. The tray that is welded to the frame has a larger bare metal frame bolted to it for a slightly larger battery.

So, what size is recommended to install?

Thank You,

x2 on the pc925,

On my gen 4 and 5 a tray wasn't necessary,  just needed to turn the battery sideways.

So you're saying a single Odyssey PC925 has enough power to start a stock LS1?  I'm upgrading to an LS and trying to decide if I need to add a 2nd battery somewhere.

The PC925 and the Red Top optima are the two most used batteries in sand cars.  No problem starting my 416.

Thanks a lot.  That will save my some fabrication time and the cost of a 2nd battery.
