Guy is a Nutjob..

"You only get this chance once," Moreno told a California Highway Patrol officer, according to the DOJ. "The whole world is watching. I had to. People don't know what's going on here. Now they will."

:nut:

The Justice Department said in its statement that Moreno told the FBI that he derailed the train out of a desire to "wake people up."

tin foil hat anyone? Dr Phil should take that dude on a tour of the Mercy and film it so all his other nut job buddies can see the look on his face when he realizes it is in fact a medical ship, and then the look on his face when he realizes he's going to prison based on a conspiracy theory...

Seems odd that train engineers aren't tested for crystal meth...

Looks like it would be a good idea to do some mental health evaluation of rail personnel operating thousands of tons of iron around the general public.

Good friend of mine worked alongside this guy. We talked today, cause i joked if that was his train....

He was model employee, great family man, hard worker and never talked crazy politics,  etc.

He simply snapped from the media craze over COVID-19.

1st hand account of person who worked with him for last few years.

Guy could not handle it and was in a position handling a massive piece of equipment ..

That could be ALLOT of folks, potentially.

"Crisis" squeezes everyone in different ways.

His chances of insanity defense are pretty good I would say. He also completed the circle when he professed his intentions, clearly off the reservation imo. One thing to attempt another to discuss with others afterwards.
