Sausage450r
Putting out feelers. Wife’s truck. I’ve had it since 90k miles. Bulletproofed with exception of studs (we dont tow, no tune either) ppe oil cooler afe egr cooler, late model intake without egr butterfly, upgraded turbo/drain pipe, hollowed out cat and 4” exhaust, new ford injectors a few years ago, recent snow plow fan clutch, radiator, waterpump and all new hoses. Cold ac hot heat, in dash dvd player. Just had a full inspection and service done by my longtime mechanic (RPM truck and auto in ramona. Anyone is welcome to call and ask about this truck. He’s the only one that i let work on it). had a new adrenaline hpop installed, icp and ipr done while accessible, new glow plugs, new bushings and swaybar links, trans service with 40 qts new seals and filters, i told him anything the truck needs or is questionable do it to the tune of 7000$. I wanted to be sure the next owner can buy with confidence. Its been a great truck but i bought her a new car in june and this has just been sitting (she drives it a day every other week). 170k miles Gets a ton of attention, especially with my wife driving asking $18k gd.com will post next week on other sites for 22k$ Edited January 18 by Sausage450r

I once had Navy Federal finance a 1987 Monte Carlo Super Sport for 15k. I provided proof of the only other one for sale across the country with more miles in the 25k range. That's all it took. This car is not at a dealership, I just went through this with 2 different credit unions and was told none of them will finance anything auto over 10 yrs old. Will a bank finance a car over 10 years old? Typically, a bank won't finance any vehicle older than 10 years, even if you have good credit. If you don't have great credit, you may find it difficult to finance through a bank, even for a new car. But, banks are far from the last option when it comes to auto lending. Hell with the going rates, especially on an older unti, a quick unsecured loan through something like Lightstream (I've used twice) will do. Don't get hung up on credit unions, they're not "risky type".
