  1. glws of the FUNKO! does that have a close ratio 3rd and 4th?
  2. $12.00 each! and even cheaper used.
  3. Starting to get organized after returning from a extended stay at the dunes. During MLK weekend i was at roadrunner with friends and on Sunday morning we were relaxing back at camp and watching some of the group pack up and take off. We had been using the shade and power of the patio of a particular trailer, and it was now ready to take off. The driver was done loading and doing a final walk around wehn he pronounced "there is a rattle snake"! Sure enough laying beside the rear tire was a little white rattle snake. Which, immeadeatly made me recall the conversations of the neighbors that I had overheard the day before, curious of what they were "burrying the head deep"? Point being, these little white snakes that standout on the black top may be easily overlooked in the dunes. I personally wouyld be really disappointed if my dog got it and it might interrupt my weekend if I or one of my kids got it! We dont expect to come accross the reptiles in the "winter" mounths, but the dont always seem to abide to the rules. Play it safe,it is never a good time for a rattle snake encounter.

  5. would you not consider the seals on your brake and clutch parts rubber? do you substitute brake fluid for coolant or vise versa? just sayin!
  6. a aspirin holding the tstat open tell the air is bled has the same effect. The life expectancy of a engine where operating temp is not stabilized will be greatly reduced. the first of many reasons is the oil never getting hot enough to burn off the contaminates. Perhaps monitoring temp at a new location will net new results?
  7. Enjoy the check by taking it to her bank and presenting it atleast once monthly for the next 6. Nothing like the satisfaction in knowing that she is paying $25 or more each time. I had a renter that jacked with me....
  8. what gen is yours and what powertrain are you running? Ive seen how the larger tires stay ontop of the sand and holes better, however, Im still concern about what the extra leverage and more unsprung weight can do in the long run.
  9. a clutch broken at the edge of the flange for the input shaft I believe that trans has a multi piece input shaft with a sleeve that couples (I think the bell housing unbolts and exposes the full input shaft)
  10. and what were the cv boots doing? and what were the cv boots doing? for the flange to spin and the axle not what happens to the boot?
  11. In my mind you already have made the decision when you chose to go with the small mendi. The honda will be a safe run with that trans all day but I have heard allot of times that the 8 is just to much for that trans and anyone that says otherwise is trying to sell the same mistake that they made. I would say that a high comp engine with a small amount of boost will provide a strong powerband yet still not be beyond what the transmission can handle safely. Beware, if you are the type that has to have a car that wheelies than that transmission will not hold up to that type of abuse even with the honda non turbo. As far as what you could do to turbo, take a stroll down the sand drags and see what others have done while asking there owners questions about what they would do different. There isnt any better info than what would change if they had it to do over. FYI 2 small turbos will be allot more excitement than 1 larger one.
  12. fyi internal battery condition plays a very big part in there accuracy
  13. without quoting the whole conversation that occurred, I will say a vendor that has developed and is utilizing test methods to measure air flow states that there is NO comparison to the spal with regards to air movement. you get what you pay for!
  14. sign and drive...or in this case sign and dune
  15. the same way cars are tied on a auto transport, pulling the front towards rear and rear towards front. The only need to compress suspension movement is if there are clearence issues, making it necessary. IN NEUTRAL no brakes. I would suggest that the tie downs are big and strong enough to hold the vehicle if you hit a stationary object or are hit from behind!
