  1. My sympathies to you and your family.
  2. Got to talk to him a couple years ago at the Sand Drags. He remembered my Gen 3 Funco being built and was happy it was still in such good shape. He was a really nice guy. My deepest sympathies to the FUNCO family.
  3. Just drive the Can Am and if the front end breaks then you can beef it up. Weak front ends is a Internet Rumor. I drive mine fast and hard, but not stupid, and never have had a problem.
  4. The Talon is bad ass. We talked to the guy that builds the turbos for him at the Sancho and it sounds really exciting. The Lime green on 32's is bad AF! Congrats!
  5. I feel your pain bro, I went through the same thoughts when I decided to sell my FUNCO. I loved that car, but like you said, living up here it just isn't worth it. If I ever move to Phoenix I will get another one because big dunes are much closer. That being said, I know my Can Am X3 Max is no where near as fast as my FUNCO, but truthfully, the only place I miss it is shooting comp hill. For dune rides, I know everybody says they go on 150mph fast rides, but that just isn't true. The new SXS's will keep up with any V8 car on a dune ride, with the added bonus that parts are available locally if something breaks, they can be used in the dirt, and they are a lot of fun.
  6. Clean 2006 Dodge 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins. Transmission rebuilt better than stock a couple years ago with upgraded internals and converter. Brand new injectors recently installed. CTS monitor installed. Air bags, LED fog lights, line X. Upgraded Alpine stereo. Upgraded 2009 front end with Thuren Trackbar package. This truck has everything done right and it will last a long time. Bilstein shocks. 222k miles. There is some paint fading on the drivers side door but no rust. Door could be sanded and re-cleared and look like new. Truck has new brakes with less than 10000 miles on them. New battery. Subwoofer under rear seat. Tires are in good condition. Updated grill. Full disclosure, the truck does show an occasional CEL light due to a cam position sensor code. Sensor has been professionally replaced but code still shows up occasionally. Likely a wiring issue that could be fixed cheaply by a diesel mechanic. To offset the cost of the repair I will throw in the Smarty Jr..

  9. Call Sandcraft RCR. They sell the 32" paddles and are really knowledgable on size. I had a bunch of questions before I dumped $2K on paddles and they answered them very well.
  10. I recommend 32's. These newer cars turn them fine, the ground clearance is worth it, and they look awesome!
